I’d take Baumjohann in a second.
Would be a perfect 10 for us.

Weird that babbel didn’t want him anymore. Although, babbel signed Schwegler who has immense quality. So he definitely has some awesome connections and good enough reputation to bring in excellent imports.

I asked my drive by contact...and he said he does little all game, never tracks back, doesn't pick up his player BUT pulls out 2 killer passes a game and some numb nuts are impresssed.

He also said Babbel does some seriously weird shit and GG is better than Baumjohann.

Make of that what you will?

Personally I think Ingham is one of the most hot and cold players the A-League has seen, if he is in form he is an above average A-League player, if he isn't then he is far, far below. I don't think we can afford to have someone who is that inconsistent. He has been given plenty of opportunities at Victory, prior to this season, and struggled even with all the support Victory's budget provides.

Well if Majok is a done deal I can't say I am too pleased by it, he has the almighty "potential" tag but that's about it and we have released our own academy strikers with better records than his. He also has probably the worst first touch I have seen from an A-League striker in quite some time.

Since Appiah??

Who is this kale morrow anyway? I just had a look at their twitter. The club should hit them up about their analysis, if not already involved.

Pretty sure he is a local keeper. I used to play alongside his dad who was a very solid CB. He couldnt be more than 20yo but was a lovely kid back then.
His Uncle is one of the podcasters!

Jack Duncan, Rhys Williams and Osama Malik have all been relegated in Saudi Arabia. Duncan would certainly be an improvement on Pearce, Williams would be a good starting centre back though he seems to have a bit of an attitude problem and Malik would be a good experienced signing if we can get him cheap.

Duncan is shit. Williams is good but a tool. Malik is Meh. NEXT.

Hey @JoyfulPenguin are there any good prospects that we should be targeting from the Vic NPL? There seems to be a good young left back that played a game for City a few years back playing for Dandy Thunder. Any others worth looking at?

Former Melbourne City youth player Gerrie Syladios would be a great signing, consistently a match winner for South Melbourne and is a terrific tricky ten, while his fitness probably isn't up to A-League level yet he would be a great impact player off the bench. He has the skill of Hoole but consistently applies it.

James Brown (Former Gold Coast/Jet/City player) has rediscovered some of the form that helped him standout for Gold Coast, he has scored 13 goals in 10 games, and has been a standout for Hume City. His touch is clearly a level above NPL level but I'm not sure how he would go back at A-League level because he continues to be fairly injury prone. At least worth a trial though and could be a good signing if we managed his injuries properly.

Alex Salmon has scored 13 goals in 13 games for Green Gully, I haven't been able to see him play too often but he is a traditional tall but rather mobile target man. He's a visa player and played 3 games for Carlisle United in League One in 2013 and played in the WA NPL from 2016-19, considering we have four strikers on our books probably a waste to use a visa position on another.

Nikola Roganovic has always been a good keeper for South Melbourne, and has done pretty well for them this season. Worth at least a trial. At least as good as Kennedy.

Chris Oldfield has once again been the best keeper in NPL Victoria, is very consistent and regularly makes important and miraculous saves. If we can't secure a different Australian goalkeeper who has significant A-League experience he should be our number one next season. Better than Kennedy.

Brad Norton is a better left back than Clisby and worth at the very least a trial.

Jake Marshall is a good young centre back and worth a trial.

Just watching our youth boys vs Northern Tigers, definitely look weaker without Glassock and Kek’s and no sight of Charles M’Bombwa... is he gone too?!?!
Josh swadling (coastie) just scored a banger right on half time too.

I know it’s the wrong thread, but yolo

Charles is injured I believe?
Watched the game as well, they were very poor

Only Ruiz Diaz looked good on the ball (when he could get it) #10 looked half okay in parts. Miller was okay not great. The kid replacing Glassock, I think it was Vinci, was very average.
Munford made a couple very good saves and was strong when coming for crosses etc. nothing he could with swadlings goal.
