Glassock has left apparently, one of the lads posted a farewell to him on insta. f**k sake.

That’s f**ked up.
Such a bloody good lad. Excellent voice for commentary for those that didn’t know.

Infuriating. The pathway has been well and truely ripped apart by a jackhammer.

But best of luck to the kid, go and play in newy NPL with ya mates and $600 a game son.

It’s school boy stuff mate.
Literally school boy stuff, remember when you were a teenager and you’d have a team mate that would score the very occasional banger (hooles very occasional freekick) and the coaches would be blown away and become blind to every deficiency in that players game.
Shouldn’t happen at the pro level, but it does.
Ha. I literally remember exactly that. Sure does fit the Hoole diagnosis.

If that's the concern why not just have a decent camera in the stands or a box to give the birds eye view to review? Coach can play it alongside the fox replay on a separate screen for a close and far view. Makes more sense than going to terrigal for coffee and cake.
Great idea.

Considering the players we have, is this the best team we currently have under contract and could field tomorrow if necessary? (including Majok) (excluding De Silva)

Pearce
Gallifuoco Glassock Rowles Clisby
Melling McGlinchey
Shabow
Murray Simon Oar
Subs: Munford, Majok, Nisbet, Miller, Ruiz-Diaz

Please god don’t do this again until we’ve made our releases and some more signings JP. I can’t take reading that.

God damm that sucks, not much more he could have done to get an opportunity. Any idea on where he is going?

Just trying to get across the absolutely dire situation we are in, we wouldn't beat most teams in NPL NSW/VIC/QLD with that side and we don't even have Glassock anymore...

I don’t doubt you and Wombat, but my brain struggles to comprehend this. How can a professional coach not look at his player data?

Though any half decent coach shouldn’t need data to tell Hoole’s f**king lazy.

Ok, I’ll be as charitable as possible. Maybe it’s not so evident in training and they miss it from the sidelines at games, and Greenlig noted that in general TV coverage you don’t really pick up his lack of running. So maybe when watching games back no one notices either. But watching from the stands, just ridiculous how often he’s the last to arrive in both directions.

But this only makes not using data all the stupider. These coaches really do bring it on themselves. And us. Crazy clown town FC.

Surely the other players knew he was lazy and discussed it with the coach....

I still do not understand why coaches do not watch the game from premium seats rather than the sidelines.

You can see everything that is happening on the field that cannot be seen from low down and I have found when watching replays the view is very restricted especially if you want to see what is happening off the ball.

I seem to remember in other codes that the coach watches from on high and has a telephone connection to an assistant on the side line.

Is this not allowed in football?

We couldn`t afford the phone bill...

We should inquire about Jacob Italiano coming here on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach, I doubt it would happen but considering how little game time he got at Perth last season his stocks might be low enough for it to work.

Jack Duncan, Rhys Williams and Osama Malik have all been relegated in Saudi Arabia. Duncan would certainly be an improvement on Pearce, Williams would be a good starting centre back though he seems to have a bit of an attitude problem and Malik would be a good experienced signing if we can get him cheap.

The system that provides coverage for CCU for example.

I am not arguing against stats being useful or even vital. All I am saying is that you have to know how to interpret them.
Absolutely and good analysis gives you good outputs that you can compare like for like with the least fuss.
Brentford and the team awer mabil play for are part owned by the sabermetrics nerd and utilise stats hugely. They both show its got a long way to go in football.

You assume we have money to spend on decent players (Malik aside).
