ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Sorry but apart from a 7 month review of our youth set up which made zero changes and delivered a worse outcome (results this season are awful) what has Phelan actually done?
Selected the coach? Nope
Reorganised the football Dept? Nope
Built a scouting network? Nope
Hopefully Charlesworth will actually deliver some leadership and direction while he is here this week
I wonder if the FFA are going to be holding anymore 'please explain' meetings?
I kind of think they should be pulling MC over the coals for our continued performance. They can't just ignore the club.
Also, Phelan needs to join Nash on the trash pile

I also suspect Millar's assists dried up markedly the longer the season went and the more people knew they needed to watch him. The second half of the season I just remember being frustrated by good runs with poor crosses or trying to beat one too many players.

Just looked it up - one assist in the last two months of the season.

There were definitely a lot of them in that time. I'm almost glad we didnt get to go in with an offer that was too substantial. He could be a good A league level player but still needs work and while he created goals for us was also directly involved in more than a few we conceded. If Merrick can tighten that up or reduce the defensive expectations he'll be a great pickup.

I can't say that I have ever actually watched him, he was a highly touted in youngster a few years ago, who then struggled at Victory. Most of his senior experience has been in the English Conference, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence considering players like Jeremy Walker and Mitch Austin have been regular fixtures there. As a cheap minimum wage squaddie he is a good signing, beyond that I would be a tad worried.

He came on in the second half for the drive bys against I forget [I think AU] but he totally bossed the game and was the stand out player on the field.

I think he had some injury time with the Drive Bys... the next match he started and was by no means as effective...

But this is what I can say about him... he has good technical skills, can read a match... can he produce week on week thats the big question but he does have big potential and even if he does not make the first team is an excellent bench player...

Wasn't he Tottenham or Swansea youth? Nearly signed with us last yr or before. Career kind of went nowhere. Evidently about to end if he's signed for us.

This dip in form also clearly coincided with signing mid season for the existing clubs biggest rivals and fans being beyond pissed about it. Funny that.

One thing that was really working up in flames.

Wombat will be happy - you were keen on him a year back from memory?

I agree, would be a good Australian signing for us - but still need a powerful visa player in the other spot with Rowles and GG competing for the other.

Fair enough, they did have CB and RB as alternate positions and we need players for any of those spots at the moment. If he's versatile that's not a bad thing. I was just looking at where he was listed as playing for WSW, didnt research enough.

Edit: Looked at more data, they've given me a hospital pass there.
