I think Miller earnt his weight in gold last night and I’d easily pick him over Rowles as an allround footballer.

Rowles is a great last ditch tackler, but is bad at tracking and most of all moving the ball forwards, making good decisions and confidence with his feet.

Will be interesting to see how Tonj and GG fit back into the team, hopefully they don’t rush them as we will have some positive selection headaches for the backline if we remain injury free.

Has been a long time since we have had selection headaches like we are facing this year!

Could not agree more on Adelson. Has had horrible bad luck with injuries. I remember his last CCM game where we played Wellington at Knox Grammar pre-season 2015? I think it was. He did his ACL and l was a long way away but l heard it go. Horrible sound.

He is definitely a more than good enough squaddie to have if needed. Would be a good player to have for the NYL season too. Also a really nice dude so l am all for it.

Rowdy and I were there as well. He was actually the player I was most looking forward to seeing that season.

I can't see us getting a visa CB, or any more CBs for that matter now with our recent recruits and I'd imagine between Tongyik, GG, Fox and Stensness one of them would be able to cover RB if necessary. Depending on what happens with the last visa slot (Im assuming attack focused) Murray or Majok might be seen as additional wing options? Aside from a proper starting striker (if we dont push Murray that way) AM and wing are the areas I'm most concerned about depth. I worry that if any of Oar, DDS or Duric are out our options going forward take a big hit. We could possibly handle 1 depending on formation but 2 would be a disaster unless we have someone that can step up in that role.

No me either. Just listing our obvious short areas to make the point of outside of that we have the best depth I think we’ve had in a long while. Less worried by AM as I think Oar dds and Duric can all play there. But wingers, unless as you say its seen as Muzz and Majok are playing wide - are a worry. Muzz is clearly a finisher first and foremost.

At the moment our attacking weapons off the bench look to be Silvera and Majok. But I’d like to see Silvera start at RM over anyone else we have.

Just on the speed of Kim.... IMO the best 6 I ever saw was Riquelme, and he was slow... just saying we don't need lightening speed in every position...

A lot of people were saying Kim was very quiet on Wednesday, not noticing all the little things he was doing.
I said when he signed that he’s a signing for the purists, just like Brama was. The things he does best will not be picked up by a lot of the general fans. Which is what a good #6 does best. Little cleaning up tackles, nipping in and keeping the ball moving. Which is what Stensness did well when Kim got tired and Nizzy also does this very well.

And going off Kim’s translated posts on instagram he feels like he has a massive point to prove. Which is fantastic for us.

I've been a critic but I thought Matt Simon lead the line well last night. Tough gig playing the lone striker but he worked hard.
Missed a free header (think he cant jump as high anymore and gets under them) same as the 2 he missed at Maitland but did everything else well
Credit where credit is due
Agree with all this. It was only a free header though as Matty did very well to get away from his marker.

Yeah bang on. The way he helped keep the structure in tact and covered players asses also was not a small contribution.

Was watching on my phone. Almost gave up early with the terrible quality, was really hard to see. Then I turned my brightness up and that fixed it
You got one of those totally legal streams from 2012 huh? I remember those days fondly

The my football app. It looked like sub par lighting and it made it really hard to make out who was who but I’m just an idiot that forgot he turned the brightness all the way down while trying to get the kids to sleep the night before.

I just realised I had the night filter on my phone. Maybe that’s why the picture was shithouse. I reckon between us we might have a brain.

After watching the replay I take back what I said about Duric, he is very effective at being calm and dictating play. I think he underestimated the speed of being closed down, especially against a pressing team like the Roar and that made him look slow.

He had the most completed passes in the whole game from both teams.

Agree. I thought some people were on drugs. He looks quality.
