I thought Berisha is an Albanian muslim. Thats why I thought he was wrong to take offense at being called a gypsy. If he isnt a gypsy and finds it offensive then he is prejudiced against them. Are you saying that he is roma/gypsy? I get what you are saying if that is the case.

He's tall and skinny. I didn't really pay enough attention to know how he compares to Simon but he is maybe a similar height but skinnier - a bit like Fabinho at Liverpool.

When someone from a majority muslim region say they are offended by being called the name of an ethnic group that are by and large Christian, my question is "why do they find that offensive, unless they despise that group"? In doing this I was defending gypsies/roma/travellers, not denigrating them.

A civilized response to my intial question could have been something like “Some Roma are muslims. I think Berisha is a Roma. The term ‘gypsy’ can be a perjorative term. That’s why he took offence” Although I cant find anything saying that he is a Roma/traveller/gypsy I would have accepted this explanation. I really had no idea that this may be the case. My concern was that he was discriminating against this minortity group.
Instead, some of you chose to find offence where it didn’t exist.
So, No, there is no pointy hat obscuring my vision.

Finally some news. Mark Moric has left after only being offered a NYL contract (which is all his form and ability warranted as I'm sure Mick will agree).
And it looks like we have signed another injury prone defender. Was decent in the A League before signing in Korea but has been released after being injured and not playing. Nothing from the club until all the formalities are done but I was told it is DeFinite (there's your clue)
