Milan Duric - Ozhammer on the money!

Great quality midfield, and with DDS and Oar in front it looks good through there.

Looks desperately unbalanced when you look at striker though.

We’ve all been had!!

No but looks a very good player, I wonder if this will see DDS or Tommy move back out wide in staj’s 4-1-4-1? Which isn’t a bad thing. Shaun did tweet that Markovski is a fake rumour which is interesting.
I am a little worried about these 1 year contracts for our new visa players. I’m also now completely unsure if I want the last visa to be a striker or CB, but I do think it’ll be a CB. As a good visa CB will really solidify the spine which it looks like Staj is going for.

I think he is our striker even though we have defined him as an attacking midfielder.
Transfermarket have him as a CF though if we take it as written we look like.

Edit - yes I had the wrong one.

It would be good if the new HAL allowed an extended bench.

I like that better. Less WeeMac.

I still think we have another position to fill, the Visa spot for the second Korean was always factored and the budget released, I’m sure they are scouting for a replacement.

19 signed including 4 visa players. We have to sign at least one more with one visa spot taken. We can sign up to 25 because we have 2 scholarship players.

Five defenders is not enough as we have seen already. I'd still like a first choice (possible visa) CB that may be able to partner Kim at DM. Then backup LBs and RBs - probably from NPL like Josh Wilkins and Christian Calvero.

Agree with most of that Ads. Will be healthy competition for starting and bench spots. Rowles/Tongyik could go either way.
But I think carrying both Simon and Majok on the bench might be wasting a spot. Still another visa player to come which might bump Silvera or Murray to the bench.

This Duric aka Djuric which confused me for a while looks quality, happy with that. Hope he's fit, suprised we've bagged someone with his pedigree.

Oz is usually spot on with his information. :overheadl:
The source that told me about the Serbian striker at the fan forum @Ettalong looks to be on the money too.
We`ll know when he`s announced though.

Well played OZ!
Now sign Markovski and we`re back on track again

He can take a penalty so there goes Simon’s golden boot this season. Some great passing and vision we just need the players and tactics to use him properly.

Thats my first team as well .... get a decent striker ... the bench looks quite respectable as well...

I think Murray could do well with that kind of service. We saw glimpses of it like his goal against the jets last season but it’s the polar opposite of the overall game plan going forward last season. A fast and exciting attack would greatly improve the match day experience.

My money is on Majok to prove himself better than Murray this year. But we’ll see.

Big call. I hope Staj can get more out of him but I think we’re downplaying how successful Murray was in the NPL before we poached him. No doubt there’s a step up in opposition but IMO the game plan didn’t suit the kind of player he is. If we can play to his strengths (and I think we can) we’ll get a better indication of where he’s at in this level.
