I like it, it looks smart and better than the default reebok coast jerseys we have had. I like the club is going down the navy avenue more. Tbh Im not such a fan of the away kit, I would rather all yellow than yellow and white shorts as i feel the colours clash and dont compliment each other in comparison to the yellow and navy.

When will this be available to purchase? I cant wait to get my hands on it.

+1... especially about the white shorts

I suspect that we didn't go with thinner stripes becasue of what the Nix might have up their sleeves (???)... just a guess.
because other clubs having the same design has worried us in the past?

If Wellington decided to design a strip based on their badge and we went for narrower stripes then yes, I do think this would be a worry.

i know what you mean, but you realise that you are speaking about our club which has had the same design as 2-3 other clubs each year?

not sure why they went for white short tbh. prefer the blue.
id say its because its an away kit and to avoid clashing with other sides with dark coloured home shorts(sydney, melb, nux)

The rules state that you have to have a completely different away kit.
So everything needs to be a different colour.
We are also not forced to wear our away kit if it does not clash with other A-league clubs.
The white shorts aren't 100% confirmed either.

the yellow away kit looks like a training top to me, it wouldnt look so odd if the shorts where not white though, i think leeds at one stage had an all yellow away strip which looked pretty good

I very much like the home kit. The away kit looks like the original jersey we wore in the inurgural pre season cup.

It will be interesting to see what small changes they will have to make for the A-League as stated in the article in the Mariners Website.

We might find that the Player Numbers might be gold for the ACL which would cover the gold on the jersey's for the ACL.

that would look great,
despite the fact that it would be the same colour as our biggest rival?

Getting rid of the white away shirts is a great move and I for one like the home kit very much.

.

Well then you would be only looking at wearing the away kit against Melbourne & Wellington as the have dark coloured jerseys.

*double checks the date*

*notes that it isn't April 1*

*shakes head in shame*

Surely this is a bad joke, yeah??

IMO One strip should be highly-contrasting colours (yellow + navy) and the other must be a plain/solid colour, different to the dominant colour of the contrasting strip (eg. all yellow shirt+socks+shorts).

If our new home strip clashes with Wellington, then yellow shirt/dark shorts woulnd't be much better.

On another note this is a great move by the club/FFA, as I'm actually considering whether I would buy both shirts. I'm sure plenty more people would be thinking this compared to when every club had virtually the same away strip.

Well we have gotta have somewhere
make it small and not noticable...not a big number in the middle of the shirt which is a focal point

Now we just need to stick to the theme of the home strip forever. No more major changes. Commence long-term engrained brand recognition

Maybe some gold trimming on the club crest?
