ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners playing strip- ACL and 09/10 season

Blaim Reebok and the FFA for these if you don't like them. I am sure the mariners would have gone through many different designs but were railroaded into what they could and couldn't have.

The sooner the day comes that clubs have control over the designs & providers of their strips, (with approval from the FFA of course) the better.

soes anyone know when we can get one of these jerseys and where from?

The club have not announced it yet, they will also be selling other ACL merchandise too but I can only assume it will be after the HAL finals.

will the new strip have the "central coast" writing on the front??

that will depend on who our major sponsor is.

This is a point I made in another thread... I thought it was unusual to unveil a new strip without our major sponsor emblazoned across the front. I did a search on the net for similar unveilings from big overseas teams and they all had their sponsor on the shirt when presented to the media. Being the conspiracy theorist that I am, I think we might be getting a new sponsor for the ACL.

Or we might not have one at all.

Hmmm ... the ideas followed were OK but a bit of market (fans) research may have got better results.

I do think that the home strip should have more yellow, and that yellow socks would be better

Make the sleeves, shorts and socks yellow with a couple of thin blue stripes on the shorts and socks.A bit like Ajax with different colours.

IMO the away strip should be a completely different colour and only worn when there is a colour clash with the opposition.

Interesting that there's more positive comments about these strips on the Sydney forum than on here.

Because it took months to sort it out.

You dont have months long negotiations with a multi national corporation and "get what you want". They would have come to the table with ideas and Reebok said you can have this, this or this. Then the months taken were the mariners saying "but what about this, or could we just do it this way" to the answer of no, no & no.

(All IMO just for clarification. ;))

Also a suggestion in there that 2-3 clubs will have stripes next season :headbutt:

FFS, PLEASE let us stick with something unique and identifiable for long enough to develop some pride in the strip.

Also, re. the negativity: I for one don't mind the strips. I'll reserve full judgement till i see the completed versions in person. IF we can stick with the home strip and another club doesn't get the same design, it is definitely something that we all could/should grow to love.
