ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

PT shared some good news about the CoE last night, personally I'm looking forward to it and I felt both PT and GA were very honest last night.

I`m not sure of the date it was posted but from Deejs` post the meeting must have been last night.

Surely CCM could have let someone know, so that some of the contributors here could have attended...or is it some clandestine secret meeting.

They make it hard to keep the faith...

Was last night and wasn't a CCM event, it's been all over this forum in the yellow army facebook updates section.......no secrets

far *far* more likely that the money is promised for invoices that the Commonwealth will directly pay or contribute to.

Can you give us a 10 line summary...

"hopefully" work can commence in about 3-4 weeks, stage 1 of the development includes the new training field and the 5 a side pitches plus 2 seven a side fields. The Astro turf fields sound like they are going to be great with great opportunities for people to play on there both socially or in competitions. Stage 1 again "hopefully" will be finished around October. Stage 2 I think is planned for the club revamp and stage 3 the offices etc........hotel didn't really get mentioned. Either way hopefully we're not too far away from something starting, PT seemed very honest and approachable last night, very open to feedback and suggestions.

I have no hidden agenda here but I think it's pretty harsh to criticise YA for not reaching out. The information is there and it's easily accessible... it's just not spoon fed to everyone. I think the organisers of the forum the other night need a massive round of applause, and I'm kicking myself for not going.

. i must apologise then

. it was not a criticism of the YA (although i still don't understand the various 'supporters groups') ... it was the club's involvement (and lack of communication to 'members') that worried me

. to me it was not clear who had organised the 'event' only that the club was the key participant and i knew nothing about it

EDIT: ... and i had already said it was my issue for not having the time, know-how or inclination to track the club through all possible media channels (its just a shame i would have to)

Thanks Deej..& thanks for the update.

It`s just a shame that it wasn`t spread out of the YA into the more generalised threads on here.

I know I would have attended along with many others here if it had been.

Yellow Army Club has been posting about it on facebook all week. We have a relay of their facebook updates here.

It isn't just about sending the message it is about who receives the message; not everyone is on, or wants to be on, Facebook. This is a Mariners forum, it could have also been used.

We've got an automatic feed of the YA Facebook updates, but admittedly the core YA peeps aren't on here these days. We do what we can.

I am on facebook, but agree that it would make sense to start a seperate thread in this forum regardless if a supporter event is organised, especially if you are looking for input from other supporters.

I agree Roy, I hate Faceook & so do the majority of "mature age" supporters.

This thread has been going quite a while now & many posts have been made regarding such a meeting.

I would have thought that the new guy (media manager?)that was supposedly reading this forum could have let us know.

Just very poor communication again. :headbutt: :naughty: :redcard:

Was there any mention of Patrick's mysterious award at this secret meeting?

On a more serious note, I think it should be noted that Arnie and Turnbull weren't confirmed until the night before. Doesn't give the YA much chance to give the notice most people seem to have required. They did what they could and good on them for going to the effort of organising something like this.

Given that this meeting is being discussed in this thread - was anything said about the investors that Peter Turnbull was talking to?

No mention. I guess no one thought to ask. However, the whole conversation was about the future of the club, so I guess PT and GA aren't expecting the club to fold any time soon.

You supposed to be able to see the notes taken on the night at the following link, but I'm not sure how to view them. There doesn't seem to be a link. I will speak to Carly about it and see what the deal is.
