ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Is it time for wholesale change at CCM

Should CCM put the cleaners through the squad and/or coaching team and rebuild?

Pretty sure we should accept we arent gonna sign anything for the finals, that is if we make it!
No idea what the hold up is, it is clear we need a quality back and have for some time, not to mention the months in advance the club would of known about Jedi leaving, either really poor recruiting or really bad luck in securing services, either way, i think we have already met the team that will be take us to the grand final....

10 days to go of the transfer window. Are you awake there Lawrie?
can confirm that his alarm clock didnt wake him up today so he was late getting out of bed.

Other then that, if you follow direct quotes in the media from people at the club, he has been looking at up to 20 different players

Should we be interested in any of the adelade boys that are out of contract? All 3 of them fit spots we need to fill

Regarding the players i'll give my opinion later but regarding management. Tobin is definately not the answer.
The main problem in the team is the back four, who are disorganised and ragged.  I presume Tobin is responsible for their training and tactical awareness (as Aust's most capped Defender) and to me they are average at best.
We all know Ferguson was the main Football coach and our play has gone downhill since he left however i'd keep McKinna for another season and bring out a proper assistant coach like Ian Crook to steady the ship.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Ian Crook decides to leave his job at Norwich (his spiritual home FFS) and take an Asst role in the HAL

You know, like the job he just walked out on....................

Starting to worry a bit that we will be taking the same squad into the ACL and become a laughing stock. I'm just imagining our current midfield and defence running around like under 12's trying to get the ball off the Kawasaki mob and when we do hoof and hope! Its bloody worrying. Anyone else thinking the same thing? I mean its only 2 quality signings, a CB and CM FFS. Is everyone sitting on their hands at CCMHQ?

And if we do sign anyone and that is a big IF, can we not sign players just for the hell of it but players who are going to make a significant contribution to the teams outcomes

Lol. No i didn't miss it but I'm reading all the posts on this forum daily and other puplications waiting for an announcement and I guess it just feels more and more frustrating the closer we get to the deadline. We get the comment that he is looking at up to 20 players - how about naming some, if just for arguements sake so members of this forum can discuss them (which is half the fun about fan forums).

I am looking forward to seeing elrich back in the team

Good to be optimistic but I didn't see anything exciting last season or in his short stint this season. Plus it will take time to get back to speed and confidence after a second knee reconstruction.

I don't think we should be even considering Elrich for this campaign, ie not going aftyer a quality player because we have Elrich. IF he comes good it is a bonus.

if you've followed this club and its transfer dealings you'd know that transfers are kept under hats until confirmed.

our club doesn't go around promising the earth and then not delivering (unlike certain neighbours of ours). you'll hear about the signings when the ink is on the contract.
