    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Is it time for wholesale change at CCM

Should CCM put the cleaners through the squad and/or coaching team and rebuild?

Boogs is one of our most promising players. He would benefit from playing next to an experienced centre back partner.

In fact, even though Gumps, Clark and Sash may be guys to go if we can find better replacements, I would like to see some experienced players signed. The team we put out against Melbourne was extremely young. We could use some players who aren't past in, but old enough to command authority among the others, maybe around 30-31 years old.

For god sakes we need to keep Lawrie, there is no one else that is available to us who can coach better then Lawrie, i think.

Just like what other people have already posted here, we need to get rid of the crap players on our team ( O'grady, Mrdja, Owens and D'appuzo maybe). We still need to keep some old players Gumpy, Clark for experience, I still feel like they can still peform consistently for at least another year. Not to sure about Sash yet.

We need some exciting foreign players that change a game like Hernandez did against us on Friday. Lawrie needs to stop being scared of getting foreign players because if we get some super good foreign marquee + Matty,Macca,Hutch,Wilko and the rest of our good squad right now = A league champions 785 years straight.

Though i make finding a good foreign marquee sound easy, Its not.

I'd keep Dapuzzo... will probably get a run next week too! He should have been given more time to play too IMO.

Surely Tim Cahill could? ::)

Why does this player need to be foreign? Right player for the right job ffs...whether he is aussie or foreign

Too right Keensy, I'd be happy with Sterjovski or Timmy Cahill, but the price is, well....., prohibitive.

When you look at the current squad though, on paper, there is a fair bit of depth in the midfield with Ahmad Elrich, Greg Owens and Adrian Caceres. Now, two out of those three 'game breaking' midfielders have had shockers this season.

That is the way the injury crystal ball goes, I'm afraid. But at the start of the season, the prospect of all three of these guys being fit and raring to go would have been great to think about.

And what's to say that if you bring a foreign superstar in, that they don't end up like Aloi$i has been for Sydney this season?

At the moment, I reckon we need some experience and down outright, hard headed, knuckle dragging, mongrel to slot into the backline. Run the backline, make the other defenders too scared to even think of stepping out of line, terrorise the attackers of the other team, make Danny feel he's safe as, with this guy calling the shots. And as corners break up at our end, leave a forward from the other team lying on the ground wondering what freight train just hit him, as he picks up his front teeth..... Surely there's someone from Millwall we could get  ;)  ;D ?

Or maybe, Alex Wilkinson could decide to shed the nice guy image in the off season, and go out next season wanting to kill. ;D I'd reckon he'd throw a good right hook.

Brilliant, print this off and nail it to LG's office door.

Qld = Moore
Adelaide = Ogmonster/Costanzo
Melb = Musc**t/Vargas

Anyone else see a pattern forming here?

Surely there is a bastard hardman playing in Lg1 or 2 in the UK (or Scotland perhaps) who would fancy a year or 2 in sunny Terrigal?

The problem, FFC, with going out and getting someone like that, is that they usually don't have much technique or speed about them.

Their usual tactic is to lie in waiting, in deep, for their victims, er, attacking players, to come to them! Not usually your complete footballer in terms of technique, reading of the game or positional play. Just sneaky thugs.

Where do we draw the line between stability and stagnation? So do some people now believe the current coaching staff of McKinna and all have taken the Central Coast Mariners as far as they can?

The club is one of the best-run in the league, has tremendous potential and things set to get better over the next few years. So do people think the hard decisions need to be made about on the field, where a culture of conservatism threatens to turn into stagnation?

Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.
We need only need two quality signing and we'd be the best in the league. That is how tight this thing is.

All we need is a good inspiring, creative midfielder, and a good solid back who can organise the backline.

Can we get some hard ass mongrel asian through our connections?

Racial stereotyping would suggest they don't exist.
We can get polite, inscrutable, men of wisdom, though.

Sun Tzu would know how to organise the heck out of a defence.
