GRAND FINAL TICKETS

The atmosphere is going to be shit. However many Mariners fans can afford to travel down there, they will be spread out all over the shop, and neutrals will take up as many seats.

We will have no home ground advantage other than that we've played a GF there before.

I bought my tickets on ticketek and they kept giving me Bay 34 now i was after bays 12,13or 14 but i tried 4 times and end up with Bay 34 row aa.

If you are purchasing over the net they will give you the next available seats in the catagory you chose. If you want a specific bay you will have to book over the phone.

Its not that i wanted a specific bay it was just weird cos for the semi i change it once and they gave me completely different seats.

Bay 31 for me... I wanted Mezzanine level and was told that they weren't available, then offered 29, didnt like the look of those seats. Im sure that part of 29 is 'obscured' seating, isn't it?  I even asked to go upstairs in 45 or so, and was told they weren't available, wish I had have put up a bit of a fight now...  :redcard: Pax 5804 at 09:25 this morning..

I presume that includes all the FFA's own allocated seats and the Marinators Club ones.  Still not bad in 25 mins.

A Cove friend suggested tongue in cheek that all the north shore private schools the Mariners have visited would be able to afford to go ... I said mate, as long as they wear yellow and do more than clap politely rah rah style!!

39,000 tickets are available to the public...according to the SCG Trust.

At Mingara this morning we were told prior to buying the tickets that the only seats available were from 23 to 34. We were at Mingara at 4am this morning to ensure our chances of buying seats in the western stand with the sun at our backs. After waiting 5 hours to get in to buy the tickets we then felt obligated to buy where we were told and not where we wanted. I was really pissed off by this highhanded attitude of the FFA

I rang FFA after I got home and spoke to some bloke who said that the seating was subjective. What does that mean? It means that some people may not like looking into the sun  at the game whilst others would be happy to do that. That is subjective. I told well how come I wasnt given the opportunity to make the choice. That certainly is not subjective. After seven and a half minutes on the phone to this !#!W#it he said that we would just have to agree to disagree.

You make the effort to get the seats of choice but can only get the choice of seats that the FFA released. It is a total crap situation and from what this guy said FFA has blocked off the choice seats for themselves.

What the f#*k are the FFA thinking, I suppose it just goes to show that you really can't put brains in statues!!!

I too was at Mingara this morning (although only from 8am) & the number of people that had their carefully arranged plans ruined by the FFA was unreal.  It's time someone made these pricks:-
1st. Find a map of the stadium.
2nd. Work out their preferences for seating (1st choice, 2nd choice etc)
3rd. Make arrangements for the time tickets go on sale (kids to school etc)
4th. Stand in line & wait.....

Only to have your carefully made plans turned to shit by a pack of f**king idiots that have the same fecal matter for brains!

Mobile phone companies made a small fortune this morning after those standing in line were forced to make phone calls to see if family & friends were prepared to pay out that kind of money for tickets that most didn't even have as their 4th choice.

I was lucky to get tickets in roughly the same area as we'd all agreed on... BAY26 SEATS 1-9 so we can join the Marinators yelling, screaming & singing our heads off!!!!

So, can someone please tell me, after this mornings DEBARCLE, WHAT ADVANTAGE THE MARINERS MEMBERS ACTUALLY GOT???????  Not only do we now have to travel to the SFS instead of Bluetongue, most can't purchase tickets of their choice, the price of the aforementioned tickets (prohibitive for some members)!!!

After the way we've been shafted I thought I'd better check again about public transport being included in the price of the ticket (rang yesterday & was informed that it was, guess what, another f**king statue, another bum steer) Just got off the phone again, PUBLIC TRANSPORT NOT INCLUDED.......

It'll be interesting to see the crowd figures!!!!!

Think it might be time to email ACA.

Sorry to hear that. Yeah I couldn't believe the attitude and told the bloke if I didn't get what I wanted I wouldn't get the tickets. My missus is actually getting a melonoma cut out 2 days before and it is a deep cut so if she has trouble walking I will pass on the mezzanine tickets to you. Will pm you if this occurs.

I'm compiling a complaint to send to A Current Affair, this is what I've got so far:-

FOOTBALL FEDERATION AUSTRALIA DEBARCLE. Central Coast Mariners making the Hyundai A-League 2008 Grand Final, Bluetongue Stadium not big enough for the GF (meaning that they won't make enough money on ticket sales) Game transferred to SFS. Being premiers the advantage is supposed to go to the 1st team (including it's members) to qualify for the GF.  The only advantage that we got was the priority to purchase tickets, after lining up at Ticketek this morning it was revealed that only VERY limited tickets were available, most LOOKING INTO THE SUN (5pm kickoff) NO FAMILY/CONCESSION  TICKETS AVAILABLE IN CATAGORY A SEATING.
We are a family orientated club, with most families struggling financially

Does anybody want to add something???

M Breeze is bent???

Seriously, they will sell out and all the FFA care about is the $$. Finals are rarely for the fans and all BB has to do is point to prices for other sports.

Why oh why dont the FFA give CCM (say) 15,000 tickets as their allocation and we can ONLY buy from the club??

Then, the other qualifier gets their 15,000 to sell.

finally, any unsold tix are released to the public.

At a single stroke you, segregate properly, enable clubs to distribute tix to their members.

FFA = rah rah f**k wits

He's probably old enough to know that cup finals and premierships don't grow on trees. I know the venue, with RL the day before, clashing with the cricket and pricing is less than desirable however lets not get complacent because of the Mariners successes. It might not happen again for a few years - just ask South Sydney supporters in the RL. Anyway I'm taking 12 down and sitting in Bay 25 ROW A. I'm hoping our seats will be rocking from all the commotion underneath.

To steal a phrase.

FIRE THE FARK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another option, rather than only open up the NE corner, would be to open up everything north of halfway for home-team members. Gives you options on the end, east or west sides.

Also,

If they claim preference for either the east or west side is subjective, why do they NEVER put the TV cameras on the east side? What about the TV viewers who's "personal preference" is for the players to all be silhouetted?

(Imagine that - all 25 players an officials would look like they're wearing black - like 25 Breeze's running around!)

Bay 22 is advertised as a home supporters bay but was not available this morning.

Why can't Mariners supporters buy in the allocated supporters bays?

My boys and friends wanted their seats in Bay 22 but had to take bay 26 instead. Bays 19 to 21 weren't available at the home end either.

So in the end i bought 15 tickets in bay 26 for my boys and 15 tickets in bay 24 on the mezzanine level for myself and friends

Wow, this looks all pretty intense stuff to get where you want to sit.

I am thinking coming to the club tonight to become a marinator member (something I should have done somewhere in the last three seasons!), so i can buy tickets thru you guys on friday, I only want 4-6.

I really want to sit in our "home" end for the GF and make some noise and raise some banners. I couldnt stand having a family of bogans in front of me for the last game of the season.

Is this my best option, seeing that i am not a mariners member?

Here is what I heard went down at ticketek this morning. There was a big line up waiting for the office to open. Just before it opened someone from ticketek comes out saying they were only selling tickets down the end and in the corner - the "mariners supporter" bays. The first few people were told they could get those bays or nothing. Then someone (I think it was Mariner Mum?) got on the phone to the Mariners, who got the FFA, and 1 bay on the side was opened; bay 14.

What the f**k is going on here? What's the point of having priority tickets if you can only get shitty seats down the end and in the corner? In the first season Sydney fans had their pick of the whole stadium for a week before we even knew who they would be playing... this is apparently OUR HOME GAME, so we should be able to pick from the WHOLE stadium, apart from 1 or 2 "away supporter" bays, which is pretty a f**king stupid concept too but that's for another rant.

Members are getting totally screwed over here. One major selling point for memberships is priority finals tickets. What good is that if they only give us the shit seats?
