So because im not a mariners member or in the marinators, am I considered apart of the general public and wont get my tickets till Feb 19?

Not necessarily.

- Members of the Mariners and Marinators Clubs can purchase up to 4 tickets per membership.

- The FFA Football Family (although I'm not sur eexactly what it really means) is apparently pretty easy to qualify for and gets you access to tickets one day after club members (I think).

out of curiosity how many tickets did we end up with?

Yeah, how likely is it that they could all be sold on Friday, making it a safer option to buy through Ticketek on Thursday?

Or are there so many put aside that all the best "bay" seats won't be available through Ticketek until the Marinators' unsold ones become available to public?

Correct Floss, the 'Marinators Club block' tickets will NOT be available to the public in bay 23 from the back of the bay to approx half way.

Bryce, you could always get yourself into the leagues club and get Marinator Club membership before Friday 8pm ($20) to be eligable to buy the tickets we have been allocated? That membership would also benefit you in many other ways  ;)

Anyone wanting to stand and chant in bay 23 see us down the CCLC and avoid ticketek queues and fees

I'm hearing a lot of complaints about the ticket prices! Especially the fact that they don't have concession or family prices for category A tickets. I think we might be playing in a half empty stadium, and we won't have to worry about people wanting to sit in our bay as there will be so many empty seats around anyway. $35 for grand final tickets in season 1. $50 now. What's the go with that?

Adz, what that means is,when ticketek opens, the $50 tickets in and around the mariners supporters end are going to be VERY popular with families and 'sit down' people because of the expense of the others !

I for one am glad I'll be with the 'football party people' ! ;)

Ok, we have been allocated a block of 300 tickets in Bay 23 from the back, to approx half way down the bay.

  • The condition we have been allowed these is that for every 4 sold, we will need to provide a 'Mariners membership' or 'My Football' number.
  • These membership numbers CANNOT have been used to purchase Grand Final Tickets previously.
  • These are available to Marinators Club members only (you can join before you pay if you wish)
  • These tickets are not to be re sold on any website, forum, ebay means etc or we will not be permitted to do this again.
  • Tickets to be paid for between 6pm - 8pm Friday 15th in Kendall Bar and will be distributed next week. If you can't get in there, get someone to come in for you.

All eyes are watching people, lets fill this bay with LOTS OF YELLOW NOISE!

[glow=red,2,300]PM me with your name, forum name, mariners member number, cclc number, mobile ph number, and how many tix you want and I will formulate a list so on Friday all you need to do is to be ticked off the list and pay your $'s.[/glow]

I and a group of 20 odd people are extremely keen mariners supporters, and always attend the matches at home, and away at newcastle and sydney. We ALWAYS stand up, and ALWAYS cheer non-stop like the rest of us. However, i am the only marinators club member (as of today) of the group, and i find it a tad unfair that we will not be able to get standing seats for the 20+ of us, simply because only one of us is a marinators club member.

In saying this, i know that you guys try extremely hard to keep those out who will not stand up and continue to support, but it restricts those who are not marinators club members, or do not wish to be, but who week in, week out passionately support the mariners. Is there anything that can be possibly done about this?

Cheers for your time.

yes mate. your mates can join the club and recieve not only this benefit but all the other benefits that the club has to offer.

It would be more than a 'tad unfair' to our existing members if we were to make exceptions to anyone that wanted benefits but didn't want to commit to becoming a member.

I'm sure you understand.

i agree to some point with fish89....and to everyone yes i am cryin poor uni student....to pay 20 bucks to become a marinator club member 20 bucks and then not been able to get a concession/student ticket through this process will set me back 70 bucks jus off one day....i really cant afford that and im kinda pissed....i understand that it is endeavourous (is that a word) to get everyone to stand and i totally agree but this method is not the right way about it....i always stand within the top 5 rows because the veiw is much better....i even did the honourable thing in givin my seat up for auburn home semi, cause i no he always stands there and i had no problem with that (and i was scared he may nibble on my arm or somethin, and still feel didnt safe standin next to him hehe, jks AM) but it looks like ill be sittin down the bottom of the bay because i cant afford that....and its well and good for u older gentleman and ladies who will hav to buy an adult ticket anyways but i jus dont think there was much imput into this decision and one that was rushed

Perhaps someone who isn't on the Marinators Club Committee needs to say something here.

We have been through this in Season 1 -

1. Yes it is rushed - that is the nature of finals (a few days to do it).

2. Any deal with the Ticketek / CC Mariners Club and/or the FFA will come with big strings attached and the MC will not be free to do what they may like (eg. hence adults only tickets - how would concessions be verified),

3. Somebody/ies is/are probably stumping up front 300 x $50  ($15,000 - how's your Amex?) until all the money comes in (as per V1)

4. there are over 600 seats in Bay 23, plus another 1,200 in Bays 22, 26 - it is not like you can't get tickets nearby and pay concession prices- CCMFC members Thursday, MFN Friday to Sunday, then with luck next week

I'm amazed at the job they've done - well done MC.

As my party has 3A/9C we'll be going for Bay 22 when the phones open at 9am - but we will be looking to stand.

There is a strong possibility of extra trains being put on for the grand final, so details on that may not come out to after the extra trains get put on.

Good luck with your ticket purchases, everyone!

Just remembering back to the first grand final: the only tickets we could get down the Mariners supporters' end were 'obstructed viewing' tickets in the first three rows. We could not see a thing because of the huge advertising hoardings that were placed behind the goals! So most of the action we caught courtesy of the big screen - not my idea of fun.

I'll be there with my eight year old son. We definitely want to sing and chant, but my son is probably not up to standing for the whole match. So we will try to get seats in a bay adjacent to Bay 23, saving Bay 23 for the standers.

Let's just hope we can get that whole end involved in singing their hearts out for the Mariners!

I agree with Jeff.

Fish89 I don't think it's unfair at all, the Marinators Club should look after their members, just like the CCLC members are looked after by the CCLC (cheaper drinks, discount books, no queues when having to enter etc.....that's what a club is about)

To be perfectly honest I think it's unfair that someone is complaining that Jeff and other committee members are taking time out of their perosnal lives to organise this for the Marinator Club members and their friends/family.

With regards to concessional tickets the FFA would not secure the block for us unless ALL tickets were full price......that was out of our hands.

OK, I have 12 tickets in the right end of Row Z Bay 26!

Phone bookings stated that Bay 22 was not available - but Bay 23 was. He couldn't see why.  ???

Now after that and paying for car service work yesterday I just have to now totally max out my family's credit card for the Medal Dinner!  :vhappy:

I complained about the price but bought them anyway.

4 tickets, Bay 34, row FF, $343.95

The family might be eating baked beans next week, but at least we will see the Mariners smash the Roar and make history!

The 4 of us will be in Bay 26, Row N, Seats 1-4. To the left of the Marinators as we've been all season!

I'm looking forward to capping off a perfect season! This year has been about the Mariners coming back from behind at the death to win it all, so I'm expecting a Matty Simon 94th minute stoppage time winner and a toilet seat* on its way back to Gosford!

* In the event that we lose, winning the league and making Asia sure do make up for it!

i thought it was a bit of a joke that we were unable to purchase any other tickets than bay 23 to 34 no western side and thats only a quarter of the stadium
