If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I shudder to think how shit we'd have been treated if Sydney ended up qualifying this Sunday........ do you think we'd have been able to get any at all, or would they just have been released in one big frenzy on Monday??

FFA = Football F*ckup's Australia, Farcical Football Australia, Frank's Funding Account

Etc. and so forth.

If Sydney got there they would have played it at Homebush I'm sure

Well, the day after we qualified the Ticketek website had "HAL Grand Final - Sydney FC vs. TBA".  A full 3 days after Sydney had been knocked out.......

Presumptuous much??

Not that it makes any difference because Mariners fans can only sit in 3 bays anyway

Basically the FFA are saying thank you for being a loyal member of your club but f**k you you're not important enough to get any special treatment, in fact you will take these shit seats and you will be happy we are letting you have any in the first place.

. phone tap? where you listening in?

. that is pretty much what the ffa told me on the phone, no reading between the lines - despite my reasoning (and them actually saying they understood what i was saying) they maintain they are happy with the current ticketing arrangements and think we got a good deal

For many, yes (by the looks of it).

I woke up this morning and had a bit of that heart-flutter you get when you think "oh, s**t, tickets go on sale today," but smiled to myself as I remembered my tickets with the Marinators were secured already - stress-free.

I was just lucky that I want to stand with the Marinators and I am a Marinators Club member and the Marinators Club did so well on behalf of their members.

However, if I was a Gold or Platinum Mariners Member who wanted a similar view for the match of the season, I would be very p**sed off if I had to pay approx 1/3 of my season ticket price for a crappy seat on the eatern side.

As I live at the top of the Coast and figured Jets fans wouldn't be queuing for tickets I headed for Charlestown Square Ticketek. Was the only person there at 8.50am, and still the only one there when I left, tickets in hand. Might be worth a visit for anyone up this end who hasn't managed to get tickets yet??

Stressful day for many of us as it appears from the posts.  I was lucky and was able to go to a Ticketek in Sydney ( will remain nameless).  Was first in line as no Bling FC supporters were there - wonder why!  Was lucky to pick up 4 tickets in Bay 24 ( Northern Balcony) Row A with my membership.  the lady then allowed me to buy another 4 in the Row behind using a friends legitimate membership no provided I paid cash.  Great result.

Still needed another 4 tickets for my son and his mates who want to join in with the Marinators ( happy to stand and sing) and was able to go online and quote my membership no. ( again) and the Online site allowed me to buy 4 tickets in Bay 23 in row F ( 16-19).  they obviously are selling the tickets at the front of Bay 23 in front of the Marinators block.

do not have my Marinators membership - yet!  You guys have done an excellent job - marshalling the troops and tickets etc since the weekend and are a credit to the Marinators and the Mariners and deserve a humble victory on sunday week.
thanks Krispy.....but 'humble victory'?....there will be absolutely nothing humble coming from ME when we win the toilet seat!!! ;)

Stress free... *for now* that is. People are probably wondering what all the fuss is about, after all we have secured a block of tix in bay 23, what's the problem? Wait until game day and we find that there are families in behind the goal - not by choice but because because that is where the FFA is forcing Mariners MEMBERS and fans in general to go!

*TIP for people buying tickets: If you want to sit anywhere other than behind the goals, DO NOT MENTION YOU ARE A MARINERS FAN. Just pretend you are a Phoenix fan or even better, you don't even follow the A-League and this is your first game - because then you can sit anywhere you like.

they did not release tickets on the western side until asked to by the mariners, apparently this was done at 9:05 this morning (mariners did not know beforehand). however at approx. 9:30 (from personal experience) these were still not on sale - ffa have blamed ticketek

f**kING BULLSHIT!  Mariners tried in vein to negotiate with FFA but they wouldn't budge.   Only when we complained today and Mariners rang them did they open up Bay 14 at 9.10am.  Only Bay 14.

I went home in tears :'( :'( :'(.  Our team would not have their fans in front of then when they held up the champions trophy and I could do nothing about it.  I rang the radio station when I got home and said someone has to do something they act as though they are above reproach.

The 90 emotions were saddness, frustration, anger because I knew that no matter how much I tried I would not make a difference and I meant nothing to the FFA.

I stand in the rain, I work twice as hard to save to follow the lads everywhere to make sure they have someone cheering in their corner BUT it meant nothing.  I can't support them as a major sponsor but I do it in the only way I can.

BUT SO WHAT - who cared.  Newcastle at least made a noise about the Grandfinal.

WE THE FANS CAN MAKE OR BREAK THEM, but only together, TIME WE DEMONSTRATED THAT.

This afternoon Bay 14 sold out Bay 15 18 selling.

So who do you believe - every time something is a balls up the FFA NEVER NEVER NEVER takes responsiblity - look at the flag.

It might have been year of the member but someone forgot to tell the FFA what that meant exactly.   Look at Floss' experience - customer service is not something the FFA know about.

Ben f**kley u suck :'(  Even know I feel flat, like my heart was ripped out and kicked in the guts.

I guess if our team was so aweful it would be easy to walk away, but this team is like family and it's just not that easy.

. gen, its been a hard day

. i would encourage any and every body effected to contact the ffa - at the moment they probably think they have got off ok and that me and a few others are just the enraged lunatic minority - apparently we are the unreasonable ones

Well those of you who may remember my old man from season1, he's doing it again!

Fying out from London to arrive Saturday morning and off home on Tuesday LOL, some people can't get from Gosford to Sydney for the game.......but this crazy pom is coming from London to Sydney......there's some dedication for you!

Hopefully this final can send him home on a happy note!

Dru, you've been trumped!

Congrats ... someone better buy him a few beers!

That is one crazy Pom! Does it run in the family?

Ha ha my hat goes off to him and if he wants a beer I'll certainly buy him one!

Actually I know of someone coming back from Tassie for the game so I was possibly trumped anyway.

managed to secure 8 tickets...Bay 23 Row G...and we will def be standing so hopefully any others down our end of the bay can be encouraged to get on their feet and we at least have 1 full bay standing and singing...i'd much prefer for us to have 1 full bay all standing then having ppl buying tickets elsewhere and trying to cram the middle and top of bay 23 like what happens with bay 16 on a regular basis, leaving say the bottom 8-15 rows other sitting or only reasonably full cos ppl have moved up to the main group

this next week and a half is gonna be a very long one :)

I'm a Gold member 5 rows back at the halfway line during the season after moving from Bay 16 after the CWC (bad eyesight). The eight of us (two families) didn't even discuss any other area but near the Marinators (Bay 2) in year 1 (Bay 26) this year. The day is about the full experience and that includes joining in the standing and singing.

I agree. I am bringing a couple of platinum members with me to bay 23 who feel the same way - Marinators club members who join in at away games but sometimes choose the view over the atmosphere. Not for a grand final though.

Hopefully the majority of Mariners Members who have had not much choice but to buy in the Mariners "Supporters'" section are happy to get involved for this occasion.

But there must also be some Members who would not enjoy being in or around bay 23.

I agree with pjennings.A crowd of us middle aged jocks and pommies with our aussie off spring are gold members. We sit on half way in front of Lyall Gormans box and do our best to get a bit of singing and chanting going up there.Daft dads teaching the kids dodgy songs!!

However as pjennings said the GF is different. Its the experience of all being together ,away from home and singing your heart out.So 64 of us got tickets in bay 18 near the corner flag at the Marinators end.Close enough to the marinators to hear the songs and help out vocally without the kids getting knocked around.

I know everyone has been stuffed around today but as long as you get a ticket, any ticket,it won,t matter.Once you are in that stadium use your voice until it,s hoarse. It doesn,t matter who is next to you.Let them know you,re a Mariner and proud of it.One or two of us get strange looks at Bluetongue sometimes.

We didn,t on Sunday night!!!
