ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

It ended up being an easy win against a toothless opponent. We are still a bit too static with our movement off the ball but a marked improvement on previous couple of outings.

Reddy 7. Nothing to do.
Neill 6. Willing effort. Made a few mistakes.
Morton 6. " "
Ando 8. Dominant performance.
Bosnar 7. Solid. Both CB enjoyed a picnic as the Sharks attacked like we normally do......from very very deep.
Vernes 6. Clearly has skill and touch but looks underdone.
Hutcho 7.5. Enjoyed an easy night against a soft midfield but played well. Passes found feet and was willing to drive forward a little more than usual.
Caceras 6.5. Reasonably tidy. Passing could be more accurate.
Fitz 6.5. Worked hard and a decent game.
Cernak 7. Good game. Looked dangerous and lively.
Trif 8.5. Great game. Intelligent player. MOM.

Sim 8. Great reward for someone who made it happen for himself. The 4th goal was excellent. The others were simple but he made sure he was in the right spot to take advantage.
His touch is not fantastic but his work rate is.

I was disappointed with Neill, I didnt see the first half of the first half , but so many of his passes were straight to PBS , if they had been on their game/fitter we could have been embarrassed.
I thought Fitzy worked oh so hard and whilst he was busy trying to create chances ended up a metre away from prime scoring opportunities where as Sim was one the spot three times and had a bit to do to get his fourth.
Want to see more of Vernes - in more of a midfield role with Caceras and Fitz.

Loved the win !

Didn't see the games although I have seen the goals. It seemed like a proper professional performance. It was 'only' lower grade opponents but should give the whole squad a lift for Saturday: lots of competition for places which is how it should be. Delighted for Sim and Trifiro.

I did love it.

and it reinforces what I was saying about Mossy being likely to adapt his tactics to the opposition. that's good art of war

From Foxsports:

ONLY Perth Glory stands between Bentleigh Greens a fairytale FFA Cup final appearance.
The Victorian NPL club last night drew the WA club, who defeated Melbourne Victory 4-2 in the quarter final, with another full house expected at Cheltenham’s Kingston Heath Soccer Complex.
Adelaide City hosts Central Coast Mariners at Hindmarsh Stadium in the other semi-final.
The first semi-final will be played on November 11 or 12, and the second on November 25 or 26 - FFA is expected to announce exact dates over the weekend.

Bloody hell we're going to be absolutely buggered in November, surely they have to give us the earlier slot otherwise it'll be ADL vs CCM twice in be a few days and screw up our derby preparations.

Has the day we are playing been decided yet? I hope it is the 11th, I'll nick on over to Adelaide for it.

Another sucky turn around. If Moss can pull two wins off I'll be surprised. ADU extra days to prepare and are at home. Why do we allways seem to get the raw end of the deal?

so off to radelade…

based on yesterdays omissions and a few young guys and subs backing up we will likely see a team including:

Rose
Monty
Kim
Simon
Anderson
Sim
Mane

Caceres (or tricky, but id have my money on caceres)
Morton (if fit, can never keep up with his injury situation. if not Neil will need to back up and Rose play rightback)
Pos (maybe or Cairncross debut)
Vernes (maybe, otherwise Duke backs up)

Can't see Kim getting a go. Both Mossy and he looked pissed last time he was replaced. We lost our momentum when Sim cam on yesterday - so

---------------Reddy
Roux---Anderson---Poscoliero---Rose
----Montgomery-------Caceres
Cernak--------Vernes------Mane
---------------Simon

Nash, Hutch, Trifiro, Duke, Fitz

That's a very strong side! One question mark is the match fitness of Vernes, Mane and Simon.
