Courageous effort here by BG
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Just a thought - WSW are the Champions Of Asia and are languishing at the bottom of the A League. By what stretch of the imagination is it impossible for us not to go all the way in the FFACup?
Is there some sort of glass-half-full mentality that prevails in CCM supporters? That could explain our perpetual low crowds.
No....we play ugly boring Football. I go to every game and try my best to drag plenty with me but less than die hards don't want to see the clueless and gutless shit we serve up most weeks. Mossy has to stop being so negative or he will lose his job!
Great interview here with Dukey. Doesn't sound like a team in crisis to me.

People were whinging in the Sydney game that people *weren't* looking agitated that we were losing; there apparently wasn't enough passion on show. It's hard to tell, I'll acknowledge that, but considering he's one of the guys that last season's rumors had leaving, it's not too bad.
I sit near the bench at BT, was looking for discontent on the weekend... Looks can be deceiving, but communications with Mossy seemed to me to be flowing both ways, with none looking upset or ignoring each other and the boys on the bench were happily chatting and joking around at the start of the game...
Yeah, it is a nice write up on the FFA Cup and the success of the BG's. But I do take issue with this (quoted from the article) :Great read on the BG's match last night from ABC reporter Francis Leach

Yeah, it is a nice write up on the FFA Cup and the success of the BG's. But I do take issue with this (quoted from the article) :
"The ethnic heritage of these clubs, so much a part of the strength and diversity of the Australian game, was seen as a liability. Australian football underwent a form of ethnic cleansing as it fought to rewrite the narrative of the game as an Australian experience."
I do hate to bang on about it (some will say then don't ) but I seem to recall that it was the perceived ethnicity of "soccer" that was holding popularity back in Australia, wasn't it? You know, Johnny Warren (RIP) and his "wogball"? Time has passed for football to be the sole precinct of ethnic groups in Australia. It has to become a wider community supported code. In part that's why the A-League has succeeded, isn't it?
And that's all from me on the for today.
