This time last year , we had a keeper who couldn’t , half the squad were working on their beer guts, the other half did 12 mins work a day , a coach who thought he was on f**kin holidays, a fatness instructor, SO, the improvement thus far is immeasurable....I reckon we’re gonna do ok this year ....watch out Hume

Redeemed?
Ha ha, did I mention how much I love our new keeper?! Seeing him save O'Donovan's pen was priceless!

I am still a little concerned but given he's not had much match time hoping he'll improve as time goes on and we're still only preseason

What an awesome game, I'm still stoked this morning. Haven't looked at the other results yet, what does the run in look like from here? Maybe we could even win the cup, that would be fantastic.

Our defence was not perfect and had a couple of mistakes, but the thing I liked, is that under Roar's pressing they did not panic and made good decisions as to when to play out and when too clear.

So massively different to the last few years. More commendable considering the number of players out.
Bodes well for the season.

.BUT Simon in again , with his form! ....f**k what’s he have to do not get picked!
While I think he played well last night, I have also been wondering the same thing......could there be a clause in his contract requiring him to start/be captain? If there is and it stipulates a certain number of starts, perhaps its best to use up as many as possible early in the piece.

How come Hume were simply drawn out first without placing the two balls together making us the only team with no possibility of a home tie and guaranteeing there’s?

Is it deliberate to support the NPL side and their fans, or try to help produce another ‘cupset’?

I thought NPL v A league was always away for A league teams. Seems fair since those sides are semi pro and have day to day commitments to manage.

The rules are all NPL teams are at home vs A League. The cup is about them, hence fox always show the NPL vs A League game to give that exposure and the crowds. They never show A League vs A League.

The draw is rigged so that 1 NPL is guaranteed a spot in the semifinals as well.

So once Hume was last ball left against an A League team (us) they were picked out first as the home team

Has been mentioned a few times that he might have a captains clause or s starting clause.
Would be interesting to know for sure.
