ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Good to see it's not just us. TBH the A league is growing pretty rapidly and next year will be huge I think. David Villa and Damien Duff at the Heart, who will also sign an international marquee player as well as an Australian Marquee. Victory are probably doing this as they realize Melbourne City will have massive appeal and there will be serious competition for fans. Melbourne City will have some team.

Not that I'm aware of, and I'm sure I'd have smelt one out by now. Generally have to go over the bridge for any decent action. Still some quality pubs though.

That's a bit harsh - if we're just taking decent drinking holes... Albert's is decent and has Franciskaner on tap, that's usually a good start ;-)
The Rag-an' isn't too bad either :) plenty of Mariners fan action at the NSO game...
I suppose though, for the rest there's more down Bluespoint rd ;-)

I haven't been there for 20 years. I was usually pretty wasted by the time we got there. It was pretty much a last resort from memory. Anyway, I seem to recall having some pretty good fun there. Surprised to hear that it still exists.

Is that the one that was a converted house? Felt like you had staggered into someone's party.

I'm jumping in - Sorry I haven't been able to get back with answers - I've spent the good part of a week in bed with the flu so trying to get back on track after the Fan Forum and organizing Memberships (those at the Forum probably heard my sniffly presentation! Sorry for that!).

Will aim to scour through everything in the coming days and answer the questions I can.

Albert's! Love that place as well. Good feed, good drinks.
Haven't really taken the time to venture down Blues Point Rd yet. Only really know of The Commodore down that way.

Oh yeah, used to have lunch down there just about every Friday... They do a mean ole pie :)

Commodore always feels a bit hit/miss I think, they seem to overhaul it once ever year or two and they have a decent drink selection ;)
Blue Point hotel isn't too bad actually, good atmosphere, looks a dump from the outside but has a bit of charm... Quite a few reasonable eateries down that way as well, it's worth the walk ;)

Doesn't necessarily need to come on live.

We could package the questions & get him to answer.

Middy have you notified Adz direct (PM) he may have missed it in the thread?

Stu Jacobs and Mossy both stressed a commitment to youth. A little unrest from the floor given the last few months of the academy. Mossy virtually said trust us - ongoing talks and there will be news shortly. The aim is that academy players, whether it is run as CCMA, CCF or CCM will be able to see a 'pathway to success'.

Mossy happy with the squad - still yet to sign CB cover. I spoke to him after and he was happy with the trials of the two Blacktown CBs and with Petrillo from the youth. I get the impression that if no-one comes out of the woodwork he would be happy to live with any of those 3. Mossy glad to have Kim and Eddy for the pre-season - said they both came into the team last year 'thinking they were fit'.

$26m of private money about to go (next month) into next stage of COE including 6 story office block, community child care centre, eating precinct and some other bits and pieces.

Ground rental paid. Discussion ongoing re screen but an agreement seems close.

More structured approach to media this year. Josh on 2GO and Caceres on SeaFM each week at a regular time. Others still available but a consistent slot with a consistent presence. Expanded Loose Cannon. Benny is trying to get a podcast going.
