ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

It's not just you. I just hope that when we get off the roundabout soon that we have a stronger club and a stronger team

Hoping we'll get some news re some quality signings tonight. That would be the kick start we need.

I would if I could, but any chance someone can please ask Mike Charlesworth the key reasons why he invested in a struggling regional Australian football club.

With the context being that he receives constant criticism from a section of fans who remain convinced despite all arguments that he sees it as a way to make easy money and is really just a real estate developer in mariners clothing.

They see this as being confirmed by his decision to try and move the club to North Sydney, and his lack of investment in the squad which has so clearly hurt us on field these last three seasons.

Might give us something more to go off than the current back and forth,

I am looking forward too tonight.

On MC as an owner, without him there would be no club, so for that we need to be thankful.

His restructure has been painful to date ... but he said at the start of last year we would have two years of pain with last year the worst and this year improved... but within five years one of the most competitive sides in Hal. Be interesting to hear how he plans this which I am sure he will cover in his address.

What I can say is if we finish the COE within two years and own the stadium rights reasonably soon then he will have made us one of the most important clubs in Hal as these facilities in the hands of Football are important moving forward for the code as a whole.

As others have said we now have a decent coach, a decent CEO, and seem to have the back office working, and that in and of itself is a huge improvement.

We lack between 2 & 4 quality players to be very competitive again.. I assume the extra costs to funds this would be somewhere between 300 & 500 k ... and hopefully would be funded by improved crowds even 1, 500 per match meaning an extra 20 K over a season, and say $ 20.00 per ticket is 400K.

Looking forward to tonight and appreciate the latter start.

He could announce four great signings and that he's reached agreement with the Council administrator and State and Federal members for operating rights and funding for development of the stadium, and there'd still be whinging from some quarters.

For anything good that ever happens, there is always a bunch of people on here who will turn faster than milk in the sun if there's ever a reason to do so.

Email from the club says doors open at 6.30 now. That's better for me.

OKon talking. No signing today it seems. Had a player lined up but his club stopped it or something

I'd be very happy with those announcements.

Nothing about the plans just we have some (which is good), didn't even go into any details about what's been announced.
Shaun on for 2mins, mike 5 and Paulo 5 before a break (felt like it)
Drinks break then question time was where it was at.
One bloke who only wants trophies got a mixed reception but Mike handled him well.
Paulo was best, he is cutthroat but we need that. Admitted he wasn't happy with some performances (media gets a different answer - that's my take of what he said) but is happy with the effort.
We have already signed the players we are building the club on - didn't say there names but obviously Trent, Liam, Berry.
Said if he could he'd strengthen midfield then a CB but didn't say what sort of midfielder.

Shaun got hit by the journo about financials and answered straight, we lost money last year. Effectively club bullshited last year and are losing again this year

Mike expects $1m from Tv rights which will cover our losses. Didn't say what he'd do if doesn't get it.

We have some pretty pictures of a stadium but with no council in place they are just place mats. They want us to pressure the candidates.

Mike saying he had wrong people last few years and called Shaun best CEO in comp and very comfortable with Paulo.
We have the off field sorted, on the pitch to follow

Paulo happy with the restraints he has to work with, he really likes working with the youth is what I got out of it

You don't need Twitter just put @CFootballRamble in to google and they have it basically word for word in short hand

Good use of the twitter feed by CCM. Of course I was hoping for a good signing.....but I'm not that disappointed. This season is a write-off anyway. I'm only hoping to not get the wooden spoon - and I still think that's achievable.
But we'll come back strong next season, either way.

I bloody hope they realise that more of the same is likely to start impacting membership and crowd numbers next season.
They're gonna need to make some good signings quick smart at season's end.
When it comes to signings Mediocrity won't cut it for most next season. Even the least engaged of fans know that we need a CB and CAM at a minimum and i doubt it a NPL player would be accepted.

Paul said as much, it's more about how we play and if that gets us back near the 6 then great. Basically he has given up on it was how I read his comments. They are not focused on the 6 and if gets some results great
