hey i was just wondering if any1 has heard if there is any new players that have been signed for the 2009/10 season or anytime be4 that ???
2.Two Serbian players, Vukasin Ristic and Dejan Zivkovic-How will they get on with a Croatian goalkeeper? What inspiration Lawrie! (cant you dig up a Hutu and Tutsi combination as well?)
Don't let the fact that Danny is of Serbian descent ruin your little rant. Also dont let the fact that we have had plays of both serbian descent and croatian descent at the club at the same time previously.

Well I did get that wrong.
Now what is your view on the clubs trawling of NON LEAGUE clubs for 'talent' and cast off serie C players with CV's like  Di Vicino? Fill you with confidence about the future?
i dont give a f**k about anyones history....if they can do the job they can do the job. Im not going to just write them off without seeing them like it seems you have done.

Not sure why you have a problem with the serbians who have good credentials

+1

If you know something we dont fruitbat fess up. If not STFU.

I guess even McKinna cant screw up 100% of the time-perhaps he fluked a couple. Maybe they will have the desired effect (just as Huke and Rizzo were supposed to turn last year around).

Tell you what, ring the club tomorrow and tell them who you want them to sign and that you will cover the expense.

I'm sure they will be happy to have your investment

Heres a better suggestion, you ring them up and tell them that when fans wont pay for seats because of the crap talent management sign up,  YOU will will cover the shortfall.

Ever hear the story of the Emperors New clothes?

zomg. because we have billions of dollars to spend.. and world class players want to come to the a-league.

exactly

I don't think many were saying omg yes Mile Jedinak when we pulled him from NSWPL, trialing is to decide if they are up to the grade, until you see them forget about judging what they have to bring to the club. As far as I'm concerned if they can pass a decent through ball then they already surpass Hutcho

McKinna is pulling out all stops, leaving no stone unturned and no barrel-bottom unscraped in his tireless pursuit for mediocrity.

Looks like we can look forward to:

1.Giorgio Di Vicino.A player whose claim-to-fame was once scoring a goal against Real Madrid (in a friendly match) and has played for 10 clubs in 10 seasons (now I wonder why?). Now that he has been released from a Serie C side, it looks like 11 from 11!

2.Two Serbian players, Vukasin Ristic and Dejan Zivkovic-How will they get on with a Croatian goalkeeper? What inspiration Lawrie! (cant you dig up a Hutu and Tutsi combination as well?)

3.Welsh midfielder Matt Crowell on the books of English NON-LEAGUE side Northwich Victoria. No wonder the poor bugger will travel to the other side of the planet to play for a club like the Mariners-his current club is in administration!
http://www.northwichvics.co.uk/
(look in the headlines section of their homepage)

As we speak other clubs are loosing sleep at what we are trialing ..

I do think friutbat's comments are extreme and perhaps the majority who post here may not agree (I don't either by the way), but the person is entitled to his view.

With respect deej, I want more and more new people posting on here and calling posters a joke won't encourage the lurkers or those that might post but are worried about being shot down.

The more people we have contributing the better. The core group of posters we have is rather small.

Because both of those were on the books to turn last year around?????????

I'm VERY, VERY SURE that neither were bought until we were out of the league. And were only bought for the ACL!!!!

May wanna get you're facts right before carrying on like King Shit!!!! (BTW, am very happy for anyone to point out that EITHER of those players were on our books before the end of the last season.........)

I'd be very worried about any player who is cut from every club after one season.

Either a nutter like llubo of the jets or a flagrant homo or just a lazy player with no work rate.

i don't care who someone likes to sleep with or whether they're flagrant about it given it's irrelevant to whether they're a good footballer, so can we please keep the homophobia out of it?

Flagrant

1. shockingly noticeable or evident; obvious; glaring: a flagrant error.
2. notorious; scandalous: a flagrant crime; a flagrant offender.
3. Archaic. blazing, burning, or glowing.

Please explain the Websters def in conjunction with homosexuality as I am confused.

it doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality. my point was i don't care if they're flagrantly heterosexual either. it's irrelevant. i just want good footballers.

Exactly, sexuality is irrelavent wombat. Obviously these players are being trialled and if they arent up to grade then wont be signed. I find it a positive that we are trialling half a dozen players, if a few of them are the hard men or creative men we need then its a step in the right direction.

The point I utterly failed to make..........seemed a good idea at the time.

Statistically, there's a chance that there is already at least 1 gay footballer in our squad. But that's not the point.

Couldn't care if a player was a goat masturbator from Taliban controlled Afghanistan, if they can play football better than the players we currently have, we need them (oh, and if he can leave the local goats alone for a full season  ;) ;D ).

actually, given we've had somewhere in the order of 40 players pass through the squad if we count short-termers and all that, we probably have or have had about 4 players who aren't strictly heterosexual. and i couldn't give a flying f**k, they can chase romance wherever they like, so long as they don't break the law and they don't scare the horses (to paraphrase someone whose name i can't remember).
