I wonder if Bozza is on eth cards and part of him playing again at State Level is for LM etc to look at him as a Danny replacement/cover.

BTW Nash is actually a V Good keeper - much better than Trotty. But we have Redders and he would learn a LOT from Bozza. My only issue with Bozza is he can not be the Marquee signing...

Would Also like to see Boogs gone - he is SLOW and his attitude recently (see 4th Goal by Kawasaki at BT) shows everything that is wrong with our Football. He never chased, he is slow and to be honest I feel we could/should do much better
EXCLUSIVE: In a massive coup for the NSW Premier League, its understood that former Socceroo, Manchester United and Chelsea star Mark Bosnich has agreed to a short-term deal with Sydney Olympic.

In arguably the league's biggest coup ever, it's believed the star keeper agreed terms with the former NSL club on the weekend and will be unveiled later this week.

It's understood that Bosnich, 37, wants to stay sharp in the off-season with a view to returning to the A-League next season.

The former Socceroo shot-stopper played for Central Coast Mariners on a seven game deal at the start of last season and his experience was sorely missed during the Mariners' subsequent A-League and ACL campaigns.

ONLY listed to play 10 games so he can go to Mariners or England and start training for next season is the PLAN cant you see it is not about any money or Marquee player is it?

But has not signed anything yet we might be getting the Manager and the Goalie watch out LM.

(they are called andReading as they usually all support 1 of the big 4 and Reading).

a bit like Ulstermen who support Norn Iron nil, right?

or after that fateful night a couple of years ago - Norn Iron 1, Ingerland 0.

The whole ALC situation was a joke the club where either stupid or nieve to approach the comp
the way they did. Letting your star player go to Turkey was a very strange move , where is the money from that transfer hasnt gone into player recruitment thats for sure. This chance we had dosnt come around often and we really blew it with bargin basement buys. As for this season dont get your hopes season isnt that far away and still no big name signings

So much for Turnbull being some sort of financial saviour.....

well, to be honest, his money did save the club from going down the tube

it just hasn't extended further in the current economic climate

once the property market picks up again there may be some cash floating about

let's hope the property market picks up sooner rather than later

CENTRAL Coast Mariners coach Lawrie McKinna believes that while his side isn't far off the pace of the top Asian sides, bolstering his squad with new signings is the only way the Gosford club will be able to take the next step

Just had a read on the 442 sight and Lawrie is giving the same old speal " we want be signing anybody with a dodgy agent off a DVD highlights package" maybe its time to take a punt.

maybe it is not time to punt - the "hit" record for a-league overseas club recruitment has been nothing short of terrible, espcially when the player is poorly scouted

maybe it is just time to spend the next two months investing an unprecedented amounted of resources into scouting and talent identification

hmmm... let's wait til we see results. i don't think anyone can say he isn't pretty much on notice at this point. he can sort the playing group over the off-season (within limits - you can't terminate contracts or break the cap) so in the end the buck will stop with him.

I've been looking at who is off contract in Scotland to find a suitable tosser for our defence.

I reckon this bloke could do a job for us for a couple of years.I wouldn't quite describe him as a full on c**t but he's got plenty epl, ccc, spl and international experience so he's not soft.Yes he's getting on a bit (35) but he's fit and still playing in the spl.He could play a couple of years at this level no problem. Our defence is fairly young and could do with someone with his experience to guide them. Not your typical punt it up the park aimlessly centre half either.

With comments like that it is looking more and more like Lawrie has totally lost the plot.

I dont think we were far off the pace.

We just needed an AM with the ability to create something.

We just needed a Coach who untelises his squad to its potential regardless of who is who.

We just need a new defence.

So from that i figure at most we are 6/12 off the pace. Which is someway.
But a decent CB and that becomes 2/12 so not far IMP.

We were not outplayed by teda or pohang. We concede shit goals, and cant create anything in midfield. But still had enough chances, despite shit defending, to win those 3 games

Sometimes fans just wanta know a little of whats going on .. since we lost Jedi we have been going steadily down hill.. aside from Huke the return of Elrich from injury, and we appear to be trailing a player Sheffield do not want as a mid... But Hal 3 and especially Hal 4, it was defense that needed strengthening when are the defensive players coming to trail ..

At some point it would be nice of the club to say a little more and let us know what they are doing ....

Lawrie McKinna says he will only sign players that are better than he has already and only if he can afford the asking price. Fair enough, but given his recent form what is Lawrie's excuse for missing out on Lubo? Or does he a) think his defenders are good enough or b) does he think the answer to the defence's problem is an attacking midfielder? (Travis/ Chewbacca?)

The no DH policy needs to go for starters.

Who cares if they hate each others guts and punch on at training?

As long as they do the business on matchday (as its their job)

ha ha. Did a google to find out what you were on about Dru, and this guy would certainly light up the midfield. He'd have troubles getting a visa due to his criminal record though, but gee, he'd starch up Tiatto, Musc**t & Ljubo (if he lands an A-League gig post-ACL) a heap.
