A couple of names thrown up in the press today:

David Davutovic said we are in the hunt for Tarek Elrich.
Peter Turnbull said in SMH we're interested in Jacob Burns and we're looking to sign an Asian International. Either a Korean, Chinese or Japanese international.
Plus a new marquee would be looked for should Aloisi not sign.

I read somewhere that the Gold Coast Galaxy were interested in Clark, along with Gumps.
Hope he doesn't go.

Don't really see the point of Tarek Elrich tbh. Unless he's willing to play for very little $$$$, no thanks. Although if Andrew Clark does leave, it would leave our defence looking rather threadbare. I doubt he would get in ahead of Matty Osman when you consider how well he was playing at the start of the season.
I don't really know a whole lot about Jacob Burns. He spent his final year in OZ playing under Lawrie at Parramatta and could possibly be a decent replacement for Pondeljak should he leave this year or next.

Jacob Burns played for Leeds for a while in EPL. He wasn't really up to the standard but would probably be pretty handy in HAL.

I've heard a rumour that Jamie McMaster may be re-joining after failing to land a contract at all this year......any truth to that one ?

Someone told me he was playing for Umina 1st Grade or Lightning. Don't think it's true though. The person was probably joking about his success since leaving the Mariners.

It was stated in the article that we had offered $250,000 for the brothers but apparently Adelaide have pitched $300,000 for them.

The want to play together again but can't say I would like to see either of them at the Mariners next year...

Elrich - Boogaard - Wilkinson - Heffernan

But where would Ahmed fit in? No room in our midfield and if we don't sign Aloisi, I hope that we would sign another striker as marquee.

Yeah... but I am just talking about feasibility. I can see him playing there... but I can't see Lawrie wanting to change this:
Caceras - Hutchinson - Jedinak - Pondeljiak / Owens/Kwasnik/Osman.

Perhaps as a striker... but if we sign Aloisi and if Mrdja gets fit, that means we have 4 pretty awesome strikers.
