ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Its a bit of a win lose situation for Matty Simon as hopefully he gets to show himself on the world stage with the Olyroos or at least gets to experience the Olympic games.
However when he comes back to the club he would surely be the forth striker at the Club with Dylan and Sash starting as well as Nik coming back to full fitness off the bench.
He will get his chances throughout the season but i might only come because of injury. Surely he would have to play in NYL as one of the overage players to keep fit!

Does anyone know why the move for Charlie Miller fell through?

we waited too long to sign him because we thought we were getting higher profile players from the sheffield partnership

True and that isn't really the no.1 reason why were in a partnership with them.
Commercial, global connections and learning about youth academys are more important than getting there reserves.

and a 'global' alliance of property dealings involving turnbull. i wouldn't be getting excited anytime before 2050.

At present there are not many players at Sheffield that we would need to sign. Many players that are at sheffield are in their prime or past it. Best player i reckon we could get would be Garry Speed or Lee Hendrie and we all know Lee doesnt want to play out here.
Gary would be a good signing but he is not really the time of player we need as we are served well in midfield.

Bit rich of the Mariners to sign a partnership deal with an established Alliance of Clubs, then straight away ask for someone else's players on loan. Maybe if we sent one or two of our players over first, then Sheffield might have listened a bit more attentively. With very established clubs like Sao Paolo and Sheffield we are very much the new kid on the block and have to show some substance in our worth first I reckon.
