Any man who was shagging a supermodel and once played the "you snort one line, I'll snort two" game to try and get himself off the charlie has done more with his life than any of us can ever imagine.

Dont forget, he has also seen Dwight Yorke's bare ass, another thing none of us can ever hope to accomplish in our lives ;D

From what I've heard of Dwight, that wouldn't be to hard to accomplish  :innocent:

One would hope that someone of his stature would get a standing ovation when he 1st runs out from ALL supporters.

When the game kicks off, he is fair game.

Reading Hassett's article in the SMH, I am feeling as pumped about seeing Bosnich play for the Mariners as I was when I first heard about Aloisi signing for us last season.

Can't wait!

Just hope it doesn't end in tears as with Aloisi.

Don't worry, I think after all bozz has been through, he's not as big a cry baby as Jonny boy  ;)

Hopefully this is just a publicity stunt to generate interest for the new season as I can't believe we cannot find a better option for cover than somebody who has not played since 2002.

If LM could have signed Vanstratten as he wanted to, you would not be seeing Bozza at the mariners.
I think you will find that the your so called "cover" will more than likely turn into the leagues best keeper for however long we can keep him here.

The former worlds best keeper now training day in day out with our 22 yr old keeper,  more than just a publicity stunt i would say. ::)

Former best keeper lol you're having a laugh, I've read that so many times on here now but can't sit back any longer, Bosnich was NEVER the world's best keeper!

I've said it from day 1 that he was linked to us, he has a hell of a lot to prove to show that he's worth an A-League contract.  I respect Bozza for what he has achieved both on and off the field but I'm not convinced (yet) he's the answer.  His experience and knowledge of the game is very valuable, and he has shown some hunger to get back into it again which is encouraging, but only time will tell.

Lets not get carried away. LM announced Bozza was on a short term contract at the postmatch function at Budgewoi.
I thought he was on trial?

That seems to be the official line in the media atm, but as I said, LM said that Bozza was on a short term contract whilst he was making a speech at the post match function. Thats what he said. I guess its open as to whether he was being serious or not at the time but he certainly kept a straight face.

Swarey's SMH article here seems to confirm that it would be a short term contract but I just wonder whether a verbal agreement was already made and all this talk at the moment is just designed to keep the media interested. If it is, its nice work!

Finally some people that agree with me!
Scottmac you are a blithering idiot! Get real he hasn't played for 6 years and your talking like he is the savior of football on the coast. And for you comment that he is training day in and day out he needed two days recovery after Friday's session (as someone previously posted), FFS we play on Sunday, lets hope there is no training on Friday or we might not get to see this side show at BTS on Sunday.

Apparently Bozza felt the training seesion on Friday. He was supposed to work with JC on Saturday Sunday and Monday. However he overdid it on Friday and only made it back on Monday.
This one's for you Scottmac, before you think of a come back

Deej, i will add the words 'one of' to worlds best keeper. You are right it was probably wrong of me to say he was the best at any stage of his short career.

I don't want to speak for Deej here but to me there is no agreement in his post to Bosnich being a clown as you put it Razorback. Show me the post where i imply that he is the savior of football on the coast or that football on the coast even needs a savior.

As i have said before if he gets back even 50% of the skill he had he will be the leagues best keeper and you Razorback (if not already) will look quite the clown.

the towel wasn't cut into 20 pieces:

mrdja and hutch cut a big circle out of the towel and they folded it so carefully that he actually took into the shower with him folded

when he finished the shower he unfolded the towel and upon seeing the big hole laughed and said "you guys will send me back to the looney bin"

they chose the towel because on his first day he arrived without a towel because he thought the club supplied them

on the second day he made a big deal about bringing his own towel

on the third day they took to his towel

I look forward to looking the clown, I really do. It's just my opinion that if he is signed you, Lawrie, Lyall and the rest of the dreamers will have to start being realistic when it comes to over the hill players who are living of past glories.

I seem to remember a certain Romario who came over and was totally out of his depth, Brian Deane, Jardel (shudder) and Juniniho did f##k all for the bling either plus Stan the man Lazaidis. Now granted these are out field players who came with reasonably large reputations but they were old like Bozza and had not been out of the game for 6  years and still were shit. What hope has he got? Too risky to sign IMO and will do f##k all.

And in reply to this post Schwarzer has done it in the past to play 90 minutes for the socceroos. This is my point 6 years out of the game and he wants a short term contract, where he is months from match fitness. Elrich better hide the pies coz this fat bastard looks hungry!! I hate to bring up league but look at the big dell for St George, he knew he was coming back 6 months before his first game and still look fat after extensive training. He was only out of the game for 2 years in comparison to Bozza. I has to be a publicity stunt because signing him defies logic!!!!!!

Bosnich is not living off past glories. If that were the case he wouldn't be on trial.

The guys you quote above were signed, not trialled, and one of them was a genuine publicity stunt.

I think your being a bit harsh on Juniniho. He showed more skill than any other midfeilder that Sydney could trot out and without the injury(s) would have been better.

I can't believe you are calling LM & LG dreamers for giving this guy a go. No-one has said he will be successful! The only thing said is that if he is its major bonus for us.

Razorback

Generally by saying he will be a bonus implies that you think he will be successful. So  doesn't that contradict what your saying? I mean why else would you say it?

Its irrellevent if these players were trialled or signed, they played... Just as bozza will play this weekend.

I agree with your juniniho statement I was merely refering to the amount of games that he missed, however Kossie wouldn't even play him towards the end of the season... benched for Santalab for christ's sake.

Do you see what I am saying? No other club wanted to touch him. Surely there is a better option.

Razor, this is starting to get a tad tedious. You've made your point, we all know you're anti Bozz.

Even though you don't like it, it seems as though he will play on the weekend and will be signed either as a guest player or perhaps longer, who knows.
