ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

In time, when vaccination rates are high, they'll only look at hospitalisation/death numbers to determine health policy settings and not new case numbers. At that point we will see some return to social normalisation. Still probably with masks in key settings and distancing for a good while yet.

When the bulk of the population is vaccinated it's irrelevant how many people actually get covid if the symptoms are minor. It'll be whether hospitalisation rates are manageable and stable that will be what determines the need for other measures. If hospitalisation rates start rising alarmingly then more lockdowns or other measures will become necessary again. If low - then we treat covid like cold/flu.

This is the simple version.

The caveat is mutations. If mutations occur that changes the spike protein significantly so that the immune response no longer recognises covid - we take several steps backwards (typically, but not always, this occurs in areas of high infection rates as occurred in India for the delta strain)

Like influenza, in time expect regular - probably yearly - booster shots, each shot tailored to the newest mutations.

The Plague Years. They suck, but don't last forever.
so you get a top up in the flu shot you get once a year anyway . to easy

Does anybody else reckon he looks like an Asian version of Miller!

His face profile on the signing announcement looks like Miller’s expression to a tee.
