No thanks. But I would be happy with Bruce Kamau from the Wanderers. How about grabbing Muzz again …him working off Marcos works for me …seeing as how he was playing in India and APIA
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The boy who used a loop hole in his contract to get out a year early? The boy who could have cemented himself as a starter in the league at his home town club when they really needed him to? The boy who took the easy way out to go win medals at Sydney (who were already dominating) without actually contributing or challenging himself?Heard the Umina Boy is unhappy at the Flying Circus re game time.... always through his best position was as a nine not a wide player... he has pace to burn and if we had Baumjoham & Urena behind him hhhhmmm.
Thoughts guys
At this stage Dan Hall would be my pickWingbacks have had holes in their game for us for a while. Clisby got better. Nigro and Miller defended reasonably but lacked attacking prowess.
Roux attacks reasonably but defends like a lemon.
If we have to choose - I'd rather RB be a decent defender than attacker.
i also think hall would go ok at rb . but he's such a skillful player it think he could be swapped between cb and dm .You have to agree with me sometimes Dobbie...... just on law of averages.
TBH I would rather play Dan Hall at RB than Storm. I think Miller, if he works on his discipline can definately make the step up.
When he arrived at Mariners to trial I believe he was a winger ?i also think hall would go ok at rb . but he such a skillful player it think he could be swapped between cb and dm .
True Believer- from the Matildas thread pertains to Roux and Bojic...It’s a no from me on Roux but then I didn’t like Bojic either. Both of them seem to hit the invisible wall at the 18yd box and just don’t know what to do. Miller on the other hand wants to get forward but needs more experience and confidence to be able to take on defences and attack the box. If Monty can coach that then Miller could be sensational for us….
The cross also has the massive advantage of the ball coming at a tough angle for the keeper. He needs to watch the ball as well as position himself against attackers that are in his peripheral or behind him if he's at the near post.True Believer- from the Matildas thread pertains to Roux and Bojic...
"why stop at the penalty box when you have the ball .go to the goal line and everyone is onside .
it ain't hard"
The problem we`ve seen for years is that most of our players can`t cross for shit. The cross also has the massive advantage of the ball coming at a tough angle for the keeper. He needs to watch the ball as well as position himself against attackers that are in his peripheral or behind him if he's at the near post.
Attackers have the advantage that the ball is coming from the front and they can see the keepers movements.
Play the odds I say.
You mean being Nigro.Getting to the box ,stopping and playing it back
Yep, percentage football. For years even when we’ve had players like Pain get to the byline there was rarely anyone at all making the runs into the box. Let alone the two waves you ideally want. The problem we`ve seen for years is that most of our players can`t cross for shit.
There`s a difference between crossing a ball and just kicking it to the centre and hoping.
We need wingers/wing backs that are accurate but also can mix it up and drive to the byline or cross from out wide.
Getting to the box ,stopping and playing it back loses the momentum and and gives defenders time to set.
Sure that becomes part of the illusion but our players need to keep the opposition guessing by doing all of the above...
Yeah, but even Clisby who put a huge amount of balls in would rarely have enough speed or skill to get in behind and would be crossing from a less dangerous area. This was something I think Bouman, who I’m not in general overly impressed by, did very well or hit accurate crosses a number of times. You mean being Nigro.
