ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Last season we had GF 26 GA 55 GD -29
This season we had GF 35 GA 31 GD +4

This was a vast improvement especially in defence

However, when you compare our attack against the best we fell well short

MCI GF 57 GA 32 GD +25
CCM GF 35 GA 31 GD +4

We now have the base of our defensive spine tied up with the notable exception of Ruon. But to build on this year we really need to lock in Marco and give him some top level support.
We need to improve either GF or GA (or a combination of them) by 5-10 to mix it with other top teams reliably. I’m not worried about City’s numbers but more 2-4. Sydney onlly scored a few more but conceded just 23.

So the question is what is more viable - locking down the GA or scoring a few more? I tend to thing scoring a few more is more likely than dropping in to the low 20s against and better bang for our buck. Also more exciting to watch which shouldn’t be understated.

While I'm overjoyed to see Kye and Ruon in the Olyroos, it's the biggest shop window in the world.

They're about to play against some very challenging opposition and if they do well (as I think they will) the offers will be flooding in. Would not be at all surprised to see Ruon playing 6 for the Olys (no other 6s in the squad, although Genreau and McGree could play there) after Arnie tried him there against Jordan.

Would rather keep them another year but if not, can we at least get a decent fee for them, FFS?

If RT went from the Socceroos squad to the Olympic training camp it would indicate he has not returned home meaning he arguably has not signed for anyone.

Maybe we will have appointed the coach by then so he can decide
