What about someone whose name starts with M, and rhymes with Essi Midfielder?
Any word on Perez?
Is he traveling to NZ?

Just putting it out there but has anyone seen Patrick Zwaanswijk and Nathan Bracken in the same room together?

No won't do we are after a striker and we have enough Mids now...
Definition of Irony: JVS goes out with a serious knee injury two days after Danny is forced to return and signs for Phoenix.
*Shakes head* Sometimes you just need a bit of bloody luck to go your way.

Zwaanswijk loving life

Patrick Zwaanswijk
Veteran Mariners defender Patrick Zwaanswijk is loving life on the Central Coast and adamant his new club can challenge for the Hyundai A-League title.
Zwaanswijk, 35, has wasted no time showing his class for the Mariners. In only five matches he has formed a potent central defensive pairing with Central Coast skipper Alex Wilkinson.
Mariners coach Graham Arnold believes they have quickly become the best central defenders in the competition.
The pair will team up again on Friday night when the Mariners tackle Melbourne Heart at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford.
The statistics are impressive. In their five matches this season the Mariners have conceded only four goals with Wilkinson and Zwaanswijk key factors in that success.
Wilkinson has been consistent and reliable with Zwaanswijk, who has more than 10 years experience playing in the Dutch Eredivise, has shown great composure under pressure.
"I'm really enjoying it," Zwaanswijk said.
"Alex is a very good captain and is very consistent and I'm happy with my form. We're playing well together which is good for the team."
Wilkinson has been a feature in the Mariners since the Hyundai A-League kicked off. He said he is relishing the chance to play alongside a player with such vast experience.
"He's a fantastic player, he's shown all his experience in our games so far this year," Wilkinson said.
"We've done a lot of work on our defensive structure and he's a big part of that. He's got so much experience from top leagues and is trying to pass on as much as he can to the rest of us

Mariners forge fortress

Graham Arnold
It's still not the fortress coach Graham Arnold desires, but the Central Coast Mariners are finally stringing together good performances at their Gosford base.
The Mariners inability to perform well at Bluetongue Stadium last year was a key factor in the club's poor season.
One of Arnold's main missions when he took over as coach was to make Bluetongue a tough venue for visiting teams.
In only two matches at home this season the Mariners had the better of a 1-1 draw against Adelaide and disposed of Melbourne Victory 2-0 last week in what was the team's best performance of the campaign.
Arnold is hoping for another strong showing when Melbourne Heart are the visitors on Friday night.
"We need our home form to be good," Arnold said.
"It hasn't been great over the past couple of years."
"It's vital to keep picking up points at home - so far so good."
With a new coach and several new players, many A-League followers were predicting the Mariners would struggle in the early rounds.
But the team has been one of the success stories during the first five rounds. With two wins, two draws and only one defeat, the Mariners are sitting nicely in fourth spot.
"We've had a good start but there's a long way to go. I don’t even look at the table at this stage of the season," Arnold said.
