Hope your not sitting near me either!!!

In other news, the boys are back...

In other A-League news, Central Coast Mariners youth international duo Trent Sainsbury and Mark Warren have returned from their two week stint with Sheffield United.

It’s believed the Blades were so impressed with Sainsbury they are said to have offered a further three month invitation with a view at signing him to a long-term deal.

But it’s likely the Gosford-based A-League club will retain the starlet for at least another 12 months to allow him to develop further before heading to Europe again.

Shame, this is true, but our back line is very solid at the moment and i guess it would be better to blood Sainsbury than keep a former club captain in the squad, not fair on either of us so best of luck to him!

would certainly give us some options

will free up cap space and a visa spot

with a derth of defensive options we can look further up the park with that cash

If we were to add another attacking option and Perez found his way into play, I'd be freaking excited.

A proper Right Back would be great,a defender who is great on the overlap and dangerous in the final third.

A winger wouldn't be bad either :)

We knew what you meant...

Mick, did you get the message (2010/11 squad stuff) I sent to the mobile no I had? (The second one you had in the organisation). Seem to be unable to PM you through the board. Didn't need a reply, just wondered if you got it.

Mariners with a glut of defensive players? Who let this happen? I want an official enquiry!
B)

I'd still like the depth that Doig gives. We have a glut of midfielders so unless we need another 'No 10' then a nippy goal-poaching striker or real RB might be my go.

Totally agree.

It would be stupid to let Doig go.

If either Wilko or Dutchy get injured we lose nothing if Doig steps in and that is fantastic for us.

Its not great for Doig but we pay his wages and i'm sure he will get a run soon.

I'd also look at giving him a go at RB as he is superior in all aspects of his game to Porter (apart from fitness).

Sainsbury is quality cover I think. And Griffiths also if required. I have no problem with Doig being released.

But someone say nippy striker??

I didnt realise doig could cross, had pace, or made his way forward overlapping?

He is a more solid defender, though there are some differences to central defence to the wide defenders, but our plan has our wide backs charging forward, or porter would not be there. I dont think doig would fit that role, at all, personally
