We must have dumped our no dickhead policy.

Stupid twat - most people have the brains to claim someone hacked their FB account when they post something stupid.

Great start f**kwad

Waitup, McBreen said on FB he's staying in Perth...
Then, when he gets a reaction from a few of us he says he was joking?

Honestly, why? What is the point...

Well, now we just need Mrdja & McGlinchey to do the same and all of a sudden GA has 11 spots to fill instead of 8 as planned.

Careful what you wish for Scratchysquire, it just might come true. You must have a lot more faith in our recruiting abilities than most

I think with GA coming in and his 'plan' for our squad, the idea of a clean out is the right one. There will be no more favorites & hopefully imo a change of captaincy, I believe GA will have a much higher standard of 'talent' than LM did. Players like Clarke, Mrdja etc just will not be tolerated. Am looking forward to his new signings, especially this #10 that has been so highly regarded. We really need a Culina, Hernandez, Fowler type of player. & the midfield diamond will be the right choice if we do get a speedy striker - Thompson, Leckie, Williams etc. I like that he wants to play back to front football not hoof-and-hope. I honestly believe that the only players we have that express the talent we need are Danny and Huke. I understand that the others come out in glimpses and some would say we haven't seen enough of Huke to know if he's up to it but I saw a bit of him from his Dag&red days and he's really got the ability to be our number 1 defensive mid & with his distribution, reminds me a bit of Alonso. He's the one that will replace Jedi if given the chance. I'd love to keep Doig as I think he was key to our defensive success early in the year but i'm not sure about injuries. GA will completely change this squad and I have a lot of faith in a much better looking squad next season. Afterall, the man has worked with arguably the world's best manager in Guus Hiddink, he would have learnt alot from him and we can only get better from here.

What the...?

Just thought I'd a little sling at the fans for a bit of a wind up and a laugh?

Is he thick?

This is WEIRD. Unless he is a TOTAL twat, or as said stupid.... He should have been A) either jumping out to squash rumours... or B) Keeping his mouth shut and letting the clubs sort it out.

Only other option I can possibly fathom is that this is some strange but deliberate ploy to get the fans pissed off to help help make it easier for CCM decide to release him.

Whatever the case,
Please keep his contract CCM... The he can have a "good laugh" writing on face Book about all his trials and tribulations in the Youth league.
Won't that be a "laff" Daniel  ;)

Just a joke?
Try lack of respect to your new club and fan base.
Woeful start.

agree with this, there is no way it was a joke

actually he was supposed to meet with graham arnold in the period leading up to his facebook post

perhaps graham verbally agreed to let him go but has not told the club yet or nutted out details

So after our latest signing - and assuming McBreen does really come and Wee-Mac returns our line-up is

-----------Vukovic/Ryan-------------

Porter------Wilko------Doig------Rose

-------------Bojic-------------------

Kwas----------Wee-Mac/Amini------Hutch/Lewis

---------McBreen/Mrdja/Simon

Ryan, Lewis and Amini fill the 3 U21 spots.

On the face of it a solid base. Hopefully a good deal of coin has been freed up.

The question then becomes where to spend. We need to rebuild the defence after the loss of Boogs and Heff. Rose - on the face of it (that is without seeing or remembering him) seems okay - but more needs to be done.

The midfield for me is the area of most need. We were dominated in that area despite often having nominally 5 in that area. Our strikers as a result got pretty poor service and really struggled.

To me we often looked like a back five/six and a front five/four with nothing in between. If GA can recruit well in this area and get us dominating games in the midfield then he will go a long way restoring my shattered faith in him.

Not much room to move in the striking dept. Hopefully anyone picked up there is a smaller, nippy goal poacher type that can play with a big man.

Maximum of 8 more players to come. Hopefully at least 4 will be first team starters!!

That's a fair way from what it will be IMO. I think you're realistically looking at a base of:

------------------Vukovic

*****------Wilkinson---Doig--------Rose

-----------------*******
--Porter-------------------------Hutch
-----------------*******

-------Simon------------------McBreen

And even then I could see Porter replaced in the first XI.

Your problem is that of the players who left, only Travis, Macallister and Elrich freed up any substantial money. And even then Macallister is virtually a straight swap with McBreen.
Signing Amini will leave some in the cap, but from a cap perspective you're needing to replace moderately-payed players with moderately-payed players, whilst hoping to get more bang for your buck. It's certainly tough work.

Can see Huke at RB (hopefully), Panni can sit in at DM or Hutch and get a LM.

Lewis is a cheaper squad player you would think too.

Depends how much cap goes on the long awaited No10 really
