so assuming the youth league keeper is cover enough for Danny that could be narrowed to 8 spots from 10,

we have currently signed for next season:

4 strikers: McAngus "a little bit fancy!" Mcbreen, Mrdja, Simon, Kwasnadinio

6 midfielders: Boijc, Lewis, McGlinchy (may stay in scotland), Hutch, Porter, Amini

1 1/2 defenders: Wilco, Doig (lets face it he will only play half the games)

lets not forget about the youth guys that may factor this year at some point (some may be signed as part of the "8")

2 Strikers:  Brady Smith, Bernie Ibini-Isei
2 Mids:  Panni Nikas, Nick Fitzgerald
1 Defender: Nathan Sherlock

looks to me like the 8 will need to be 4 defenders, 3 mids and 1 strikers...

so much for GA's defense is good, im gunna change the front 3rd!

Exactly the same as Lavicka's been playing too. ZOMG!

FWIW - the last couple of seasons we seem to have spent more time in 4-2-3-1, which suits our mostly frugal defence but we don't really have the cattle to play it well and score goals.

Hey, a long ball over the top for a speedy striker to chase got Merrick coach of the year.

When we do it, its called Scottish 3rd division stuff.

Well when you haven't got a skilled mid fielder delivering or a speedy striker, but you persist, what do you call it?

Notes GCU havent offered a deal to Caravella for next season yet?

Fantastic pick up for someone.

maybe caravella is holding out for more dollars

gold coast must be skirting the cap and with blieberg talking about bringing in a big strong forward and a couple of skillful, speedy outside midfielders there is maybe not enough room to fit zenon in

Caravella would've signed for a pretty small amount when he came back. REmember he was nothing special at the Knights or at NSWPL level.

exactly and his recent performances means he would be commanding more dollars

the only logical reason in him not staying at gold coast would be their cap constraints

Was suffering from Osteitis pubis too... bitch of a thing to shake off.
Medical opinion on his future could be what's holding him back.
Was definitely one of Gold Coasts best players.

Where's our S American No10?

C'mon Arnold, get your finger out :)

Seriously, I reckon Holland could provide us with a decent AM. Suprised that we dont have more Dutch playing over here given the attractions of the place and the national style we are trying to develop.

Maybe its a $$ thing?

That Judas scum's career has reportedly stalled over there.

Maybe a target for GA?

Hopefully the club have a long enough memory to remind him how he shat all over his home town club and that he can keep going up the F3 where people like him belong
