Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Can the Porter haters now offcially shut up pls?

He and Huke were a steel wall down the right. Wait till he gets his 1st goal and he will settle.

Get a decent LB now pls

I don't know how I am going to sleep, I'm not in the mood to. I really wish I was across the road at the Leaguesy, sinking schooners kicking back with you all and going "Thank f**k for that!" Oh well, you can't have everything. Check for Nostrokeepers' vid on youtube- he said he should have the game uploaded by midnight. Can't wait to watch it over again!

Question is.. where has Huke been?

Played many youth games and dominated. Played against Sydney but dropped again.

More of him please

I thought our right was outstanding. The only problems defensively that we had was down our left, with Boog's being too slow to track attackers, and Doig having to cover for him alot. I guess that's why Pedj and Porter swapped midway through the first half, so Porter could track them. Danny also had a great game, not much to do, especially second half, but he did it well!

Serious knee injury pre season and then did a quad in his comeback

Wombat hasn't posted yet.... But not holding my breath that thats a sign of him agreeing though.  ;)
Porter did miss two... But otherwise agree he was excellent AGAIN.

Huke at RB is a great fit, smart player, strong, tackles well, has decent feet and midfield abilities that will means he offers something to our attacks also.

And agree, he and Porter, at least of the strength of that game, seem to work well together.

Left Back is not resolved though - and will be an interesting problem to solve for next season.

Well that was sweet. We wobbled to start with and Danny kept us in it with some great saves, but we took control in the end.
Great though this feels, for me it doesn't erase the shite we've played this year, and they owned us in the first 15 mins. Fortunately Smith, Nikas and Lewis really stepped up and gave us hope for next year. Smith played a blinder.
My 13 year old niece has finally stopped crying when we lose and it was a bit sad to see her lose that innocence, so this was particularly sweet for her.
And we debuted our Dangar Island CCMFC banner!

I noticed that banner. Nice work!

Very nice game boys, all the best Clarky. Spent the first 20mins thinking we were going to get owned but my faith was justified, well done Mariners  :D

Well done team. Really buried our demons in emphatic style tonight. Looked decidedly shaky at the start, but dug deep and, as the game progressed, you could see the self-belief returning.

Great support from Bay 23 (top and bottom). The 'top' joining the 'bottom' at the end, and the team joining us at the whistle was a great indication that, in the end, we're all on the same side, and all very relieved at the end of our drought.

I would have swapped it for a place in the finals, but any win over the Bogan Scum is sweet.

Don't know what to make of Lawrie not acknowledging the vocal fans at the end. I thought he could have at least given a nod of appreciation to the boys down the front who have never stopped singing the entire season.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
MrsRecky says I should stay away from games...methinks she intimates i'm a f'n jinx...anyway...How good were those yoofs, particularly panni and Brady...Young Smith got squished by lubo whateverhisnameis and didnt even blink...and panni like FFC said kept the ball on the deck and took it from there...Agree that Shano Huke has found his spot, lets hope they keep him there.....Porter was deadset unlucky, bad case of the MattyMattymattySimonsin the goal...that'll change...and a big goodonya to Boogs, I dare say, even with professionalism and what have ya, some blokes this close to a club change just wouldnt give a..AND Clarky...back to the weight room young man, no time to reminisce now.....oh and CHEERS...upwards and onwards for next season I guess...although whooping the shaggers would be nice

Would of been much better if hutch was playing. Then maybe some of the part-timers woudn't of come to the front like another time when they were asked to.

Some people really come out of the woodwork when were 3-0 up.
