ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Four Four Two says:

Mariners Slowing Down

Central Coast have only won one of their last six outings

I would rather say we have 1 1 from our last 1

Well, stuff 442! This is where the pace picks up - after GCU we have five home games in a row. The GCU is a massive game, in front of a big crowd, a win has us chasing down Adelaide for second spot, a draw keeps us in the arm wrestle with GCU and a loss has us looking at the chasing field. When we lost 2-3 at home to them we tired noticeably after a very impressive first half - hopefully we have our best attacking game face on and can outplay them and come away with a big win.

Forget 2nd spot if we lose. If CCM want results this season they need to get results against the top 3.

Further to that our results against the top six has been far from spectacular:
Brisbane - 2 losses
Adelaide - 1 draw
Gold Coast - 1 loss, 1 draw
Melbourne - 1 win, 1 draw
Newcastle - 1 draw

8 games against the top six for 1 win, 4 draws and 3 losses

Add Wellington who are seventh and you have 10 games for 2 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses.

Games in the next two weeks against Gold Coast, Adelaide and Melbourne will be season defining.

To be fair, we have at least been getting results against the lower sides. We can bank those points, and if we get enough against higher sides we're looking good.

It'd be a travesty if Brisbane don't do the double, but we're having a pretty good year for a rebuilding year.

Any preferred place to gather on the Coast (ours!) to watch this.

I'm at a bit of a loose end this arvo. Kendall bar still happening? - haven't seen anything from batman on here for a while.

I love Kwasnik's endeavour and admit he has moments of skill. But he must never take a penalty again. He has missed two in a row (Sydney at home last season).

On another note, this game should be called off. The pitch is a disgrace and in my opinion at the very least is not condusive of good football, let alone safe for players.
