Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Anyone know how long until Gumpey can play again.

I think Jedi and Gumps in the middle and Ceceras on the left and Hutcho on the right would be very hard to beat.

What the f**k are u talking about you tool.

He was our original 7 in the squad and I seam to remember him scoring two cracking goals against Sydney with his right foot.  He is right footed or have the drugs finally got to me???

I think u are a spastic but i'm willing to be corrected.

I think you need to get your head out if you think hutch can play on the right hand side of midfield week in week out. He did score 2 goals with his right foot both against Sydney. But you watch him closely and see how often he turns to get on his left foot. Everytime! Unless it is a ball infront of him like against Sydney!
Hutch is Left FOOTED!!!

Totally unconvinced Bulldog. What position did he play at Spirit?

What position did he play in season 1.

Also i saw him doing tricks on Fox Sports FC (or whatever its called) with his right.

haha, you called someone a spastic because he correctly called hutcho as a left-footed player

I guess its inconceivable that players can play off both feet while still having a dominent foot

exactly, most a-league players play with both feet - some better than others

hutcho is a midfielder as generally they are the best at playing both feet, but he does take freekicks and corners with his left making him left-footed

but someone has to call someone else a spastic for suggesting he is stronger with his left

. definitely left footed

. if you are referring to the two goals he scored against sydney in the one game last year ... i think it was one with each foot - both crackers, almost identical but mirrored

Correct, first was on the right, second with the left

I called him a spastic because of his/her comments.  Sorry if I was offensive I don't mean to be but can be a bit gobby at times.

Personally Hutcho has always looked two footed to me and from the early days he played on the right. Regardless of which is his favoured foot he could (AND HAS) played equally well on either flank.  I know he shits alot of fans but for mine he is good enough to be a starting 11 player anywhere in the mids.  Would I pick him in front of Gumps...definately NO but he is superior to Owens/Porter and Osman.
