Bojic is now on 4 yellow cards. It might be better to get the 5th out of the way against Wellington so he can sit out against the scum. After that, we've got the smurfs away, Adelaide at home and the tards away. Wouldn't like to see him missing for the smurfs or tards games.

I would rather him sit out the Wellington game and Lawrie use Tadrosse or D'Apuzzo, allowing him to play the game against the Scumf**kers.
And then potentially miss a game against Sydney FC, Adelaide or Melbourne???? Surely we can beat the scumf**kers fairly easily with their current injury list.

lol yeah, cos we always bet the scum huh. We will always need our best players to beat the scum, as they seem to step up an extra level against us, but we dont. We can beat any other team in the HAL with key players out, but not the scum

I think you underestimate how much better we are now than the first round. Not only that, we're at home to the Jest this time.

Noooooooo I dont underestimate anything with the Mariners (maybe Lawries late subs) but lets face it, they step it up against us, we dont step up to them. Only times we have EVER had a real go against them was new years eve in v1 and home semi in v3. Every other time, they have been better than us IMO, so why think this game is going to be different? We are hardly in shit hot form. Matty was on fire against Melbourne, where was the rest of the team? We destroyed a terrible Perth, but still conceded. And other than Matty, Mile and Caceras, we were terrible in Adelaide. Can you see us giving Welli a run in 2 weeks? I can see us struggling TBH.

It looks like im trying to put a downer on our team, but im not, im telling it like it is IMO.

You're way too negative bear. The Jest are but a shadow of their former selves. We're gonna murder them.

lol, no no, serious is negative, im just a realist.

Your comment of "We're gonna murder them" stinks of 14 year old teenager who is clueless. I know your not that though. Its one thing to say "We're gonna murder them" its another to say "I hope we murder them" which im sure we all do.

I would love to murder that bloody dancing bear :p

Anyway, it looks like the Jest are going to get most of their players back by the time round 9 rolls along. Still reckon we will beat em though.

No Greg Owens this week in the NYL, hopefully this means he will be on the bench against the Nux next Sunday. Many have said and I totally agree that our midfield needs a fit Greg Owens but I can only see him playing on the right wing to replace Osman in our mifielder. I know he is a CM or AM and with the current form of Adrian and the Jedi I can only see him starting as RM to replace Osman as he regains full fitness.

frankly i'm with perm - i'd be resting hutch before osman at the moment. the whole point of having lots of midfield options is that nobody's place is for granted. hutch has been so-so, he'd be first to go i think. but he'd probably rest one week, tear apart a NYL game and then storm back into the first team at the first opportunity.

Definately agree with your assessment of Hutch, however I was refering to Owens position in the midfield. Having a strong right foot and better suited to the right side of the pitch was the reason for putting Osmans position under risk.

I don't think putting a right footed player on the left side is a good option.
NB. Porter's performance last week on the left was sub-par and I feel he and Owens would play better at RM than Osman.

So I assumed Hutch's position is pretty safe there...

that's because that isn't his positon, and he isnt a real attacking minded player. the positions i would have him would be DM, CM, RM ( and RB if needed )

That's what i was trying to say... No need to drop Hutch who can play solidly on the left and bring in Owens. I realise Porter was playing out of position and thats what I was refering to as the reason for his poor performance. Playing out of position doesn't help the actual player or the team. I think that once his fitness builds playing Owens on the right and leaving Hutch on the left with Caceras and Jedinak at AM and DM respectively leaves us with a balanced midfield.

Sorting out the defence comes next
