ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The deal is for $58m per year up from $40m. The other $22m per year (to double the current) has to come from FTA. Good luck.

Underwhelmed.

I suspect Fox may be better negotiators than FFA.

They're playing hardball with their most important stakeholders. Holding the smaller clubs over a barrel because they don't give a shit. And their bullshit statement about letting them grow the grass roots and the women's game. Please, you're not fooling anyone FFA. You won't even ably support the clubs who have won you this deal and think words like regional are dirty. What happened with FURY was a disgrace. You should be subsidising those in smaller catchment areas - growing the game and making it truly inclusive - not pouring our clubs whole budget into Melbourne city so they can have a f**king marquee.

The game belongs to everyone. FFA are acting like pimps, not a governing body with the good of the game at heart.

Yeah no way they will get that from FTA. Why am I reading people saying it's about double... sorry I continued that misinformation above.

Probably from this statement from the press release.

"Commencing on July 1, 2017, the new deal totals $346 million which on a like for like comparison is more than double the current arrangements." -

I suspect it is some form of post truth statement using lots of creative accounting.

Sort of like when unemployement rises it shows what a good job the government is doing because more people want to work.

Thanks, I was sure I'd just read it. Post truth world indeed.

Just read on Coast Ramble Facebook page that they just interviewed Shaun for their Christmas podcast and he revealed that he had some exciting news about the Everton partnership.

Boycey is tweeting that Charlesworth is great, so read into that what you will.

Hanging for some Christmas cheer, so I hope it's good

Current deal is $40m, only $32m of which is from Fox and included Socceroos WCQs, thus putting A-league value closer to $25m.

New deal is only A-League, so is a double of the Fox contribution for the league.

Listening to the podcast and according to Shaun starting in February the FFA will change the rules to allow visa players that are under 20.

Did anyone catch the "exciting news regarding the Everton partnership" ?

Are They sending a new shipment of Stanley knifes and house breaking implements? Or blueprints on how to pop an ignition?

The Everton partnership has been a total joke. At least Sheff utd gave us Monty.

Alot of good it has done us, all the groundwork we put into the relationship, blocked by FFA to sign two young and promising players who happened to be under 20, and now we are a complete joke of a club, the easy beats of the competition and will struggle to find it easy to convince say promising young players from Everton to want to come here.

f**k I really hope that is not the exciting announcement!! Maybe the announcement is we are going to spend the same money as the rest of the league..........which is like hearing a North Wyong mum proudly annoucing that she will be turning the kids trousers down next year AND buying shoelaces for the School shoes all in the same term.
We have a few in our squad could probably qualify for a run with the ladies already.

SST reporting that MC is looking to pull out in response to the announced TV deal.

#3 #CCM owner Charlesworth looking at pulling out. Sentiments shared by Roar and Adelaide owners.

Just a few points from the podcast and elsewhere.

1) Shaun doubted that Mike even knew about the details of the deal when that tweet came out since it was announced at 3:15 am in the morning.
2) The deal is not for $57.6m a year - but for an average of $57.6m a year.
3) The salary cap next year will be a shade under $3m - with the clubs receiving $3.6m. Both figures should increase year on year.
4) This deal does not include - but does not preclude expansion.
5) Foxtel and commercial FTA will have a say in expansion
6) The commercial FTA players have indicated a willingness to subsidise expansion clubs
7) Overseas rights are likely to increase as the Saturday night game is popular in London as it is played around 9am there.

In effect it looks like the FFA have locked in what they can for the existing 10 clubs. They are banking on commercial FTA and overseas rights to expand the league and increase the dividend to the clubs. The commercial FTA are likely to be offered the best game of the round on Saturday night (27 games) plus finals (5 games) plus Socceroo friendlies.

I agree, apparently the FFA have not even fully detailed the financials to the clubs yet. Way to early to be making a call to pull out, twitter rubbish.
