I went to that "quick" beer stand at half time. Good idea in principle, only sells beer (I think), but yesterday was an absolute shambles. I was stood, waiting to pay, while the two vendors decided to re-fill the till and fumble around with the money. Couldn't they make sure that was done before half time? Also, the young one was training the older one. Not the right time to be doing that!

No thought was given to the flow of customers, i.e., get your beer, pay your money then go. Sounds simple, but the queue was coming in at the wrong angle. Had to order beer and pay for it before the next person could order beer (they should have been ordering while I was paying). Luckily I was in a good mood after our first half display. Had we played like we did in the second half, then the mood in the queue would not have been as accepting.

P.S. I never buy food at CCS anymore.

Apparently the PA system is completely below par as well?

You would do better shouting into a rolled up newspaper. No free wifi either. Place is a 1990's disgrace

15,000 rectangular stadium at Tuggerah. If only.................

A friend of mine went for beers 5 minutes before kick off. 20 minutes into the game, we went looking for him and he was 3 away from the pourers. I joked that the game was over and we were going home.
There was only 2 people serving and they were slow as a wet weekend. He ordered 5 beers and the bimbo serving told him he could only have four. He said there are 4 of us here, we will have 5 beers please. The girl, who must have the empathy of Hitler told him 4. A hot and frustrated patron, let fly an expletive and explained how poorly they are doing their job.
She then said she wouldnt be spoken to like that and that she wouldn't serve him and called security. Obviously after waiting 20 minutes my friend was not going to blown off like that.
Security originally tried to tell the long suffering patron to jog on and things were getting heated. I stepped in to calm things and she showed some professionalism and together with the little fella (good bloke) serving the beers, 5 were poured and sanity was restored.
I still had to drag my angry friend away, who makes his living out of catering and was rightly disgusted at the incompetence.
The security lady agreed that the service was shambolic and said it was a new company running it.

I went to the food bar on the other side 2 mins before half time and they had run out of chips. I settled on a burger and some crisps. At least this outlet had some staff in it!!

Food stand on the Western side ran out of pies 20 minutes into the game. A lady and I in the queue counted 9 staff in the kiosk of which 1 had a register open. They had stopped cooking chips as they were "told not to waste food and to wait for half time" - cue 2 blokes madly trying to cook some more.

Farcical bordering on insulting

The eastern stand was equally as bad.
I went to the kiosk near the main entry for 2 pies only to be told they didn`t sell pies.
I said this is supposed to be a football ground.
They said try the next one down.
Went there queued for a about 3 mins asked for 2 pies they didn`t sell them either.
I then walked further towards the away bays & there was pie kiosk, 5 people in front of me so it was relatively quick
once I got to the counter there was only one person serving & about 30 WSW people behind me.
By the time I got back to my seat 20mins had gone.
Then I had to queue for the beers,10 mins to get to the counter a further 10mins to wait for the head on the beer to get to an acceptable size so the cups could be topped up.
When I went for the food the teams were about 20 mins into the warm up, I got back to my seat just in time to see our goal.
Seriously, that`s not good enough!!:redcard::redcard::redcard::redcard::redcard::redcard::redcard::redcard:

So, would it be possible for the club to sell "beer tokens"?

That is you buy the tokens before the game or whenever. When you queue up for your beer instead of paying money you hand over a beer token.

Obviously it would have to be well advertised. Beer tokens only in this line up.
I realise there would be issues with people not having tokens but surely those
who go regularly would catch on.

When they used to sell pizzas didn't sellers wander amongst the crowd.
Couldn't they sell pies like that?

Same thing "pie tokens"

* I buy neither beer or food at the ground. No way am I missing football for either.

What about a stadium card? Can be a prepaid thing. Alliance Arena in Munich has them.

They're great, and make getting food and drink super quick.

Not gonna help if you have only two, poorly trained staff taking an age to pour the beer. Most venues, including CCS in the early days, have at least 4 staff. One to take the money, 2 pourers, and one server.
It aint rocket science.
The Germans would have it done smooth as silk.

Hey guys

For what it is worth we have let the stadium know our concerns with the catering and as such they are discussing with the caterer.

Also just a thought as seeing many of you on here cannot or do not have access to the Mariners Members facebook page, there an easy way that we can get the club driven content from the facebook page onto the forum here? I have seen forums that have set up members only sections although I am not suggesting we do that the club would be keen to have better ways that we can get club content directly to you guys not on the members page. All the other content the club puts out is quickly cut and paste on here which is great, is it hard to cut and paste video from the facebook live content?

Fantastic idea Shaun. A lot of people I know left the members only Facebook page because the random members posts and comments made it difficult to find the club driven content. If it was made available here that would be great.

Was the new catering mob a JobStart initiative or they had done a few parties before??
