ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I probably won't go due to my other half being away and the kick off time.
However I'd be interested if there's going to be any extra security.
I've been up there a couple of times, and if it's going to be the same
this season I wouldn't be happy to take my 12 year old to be honest.

I've just checked. The first time I went there was 10 February 2006.
I vowed then to never go there again.

I seem to recall a mailout somewhere saying that the cards will just work, the same as a CCS - does anyone know if that's the go though? Or whether we still need to book a ticket in order to get in?
Would seriously hate to stand there and not be able to get in ;)

I haven't been up there since the semi final loss (apart from a Lions flogging of a Hunter regions team).
Believe me, if its the same 6 clowns that try to cause trouble at BT you will be completely safe.
Come and enjoy the game....i have a feeling we are going to win.

This bloke is still banging on
Slavich raised $5 million to try and bring an A-League club to Canberra, but has now joined forces with the Mariners as their business development ambassador in the ACT.
He said the Mariners, who continue to be plagued by financial woes, were committed to making Canberra Stadium a long-term home and revealed it wasn't just regular-season games that were on the table.
"If they got into a final it's quite possible they would play the final in Canberra and not on the Central Coast," Slavich told Fairfax Media on Tuesday.

Fairly hypothetical given our current position, but still a concern that he hasnt been told to pull his head in.

Also,
The club will also be raising money for the RSL.
Good cause but not great timing

That's already happened:
Earlier this week the club-appointed Canberra region business development ambassador Ivan Slavich reportedly said they could play finals matches at GIO Stadium and not Gosford.

However, Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp told the Express Advocate on Wednesday that he had since spoken with Mr Slavich about his comments and said Gosford and Central Coast Stadium would always remain the club’s “first priority”.

“I have clarified the issue with Ivan,” he said. “It’s great he’s passionate about us playing in Canberra.

“I can categorically say the Mariners will only submit an intention to play finals matches in Gosford.

“It is great that there is plenty of energy around our trip to Canberra but it is way too premature to be talking finals.

“The reality is that our first and foremost priority is our home here on the Central Coast and it will always be that way including any potential finals matches.”

Oh THAT's why!... I was wondering why Shaun felt that it was necessary to put a statement up on the facebook group today...

Shaun already shut him down before you posted this - a video yesterday in the Members Facebook group and an article in today's Telegraph. So yes, he has been told to pull his head in.

As for not great timing - tomorrow is Remembrance Day, so what do you expect?

So this is now twice that this twat has opened his mouth to white ant his employers?
And supposably told to pull his head in the first time, so is he ignoring Shaun or letting future plans out of the bag or just talking shit to try drum any support possible from Canberra for a game against a nix team missing a few players?

Think I heard Shaun on Sea Fm the other day as well saying it's bull and local paper today has same article

But it keeps happening
