ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Zwanny gets thrown under the bus.

Walmsley is afforded the opportunity 'to park one' but thinks ......... 'no need to, I have inassurance'

Worth bearing in mind that, by his own admission, MC wasn't engaged enough during his first two-seasons-or-so. He trusted the team that he put in charge, as more experienced etc...
That was the realisation that lead to the change in leadership last season - the club backend is very different today to what it was when Patty was coaching - although I don't think it'll make much of a difference but strictly speaking, I don't think there's a single management-level staffer there today, who was there when he was laid off.

Or am I wrong? :)

EDIT: Not that I'm saying that we should be breaking in Patty as our new coach mind you... Be sort of interesting to see how he might do with the NYL setup if he didn't have to "play according to the first team style" at all times.

I don't recall him being told that tbh? I think you're tying feelings from this season to back then. Happy to be corrected though.

Hep - that makes it three posts in a row, time for me to move on ;) but...

I'm pretty sure you're right... I'm fairly certain that we were told that Moss was the head coach, looking to play a style and that Patrick would be the NYL coach, learning, playing to Moss' style, so as to develop players that would slide perfectly into the first-team setup.
That's quite different to a more general "play the Mariners way" which I would take to be, try to embody the ethos of the club but do your own strategy so-to-speak.

Turning up to training might have helped. I'd say Patrick's chance of a coaching gig are approximately f**k all.

Rarely get employment from people who sack you and you then have to sue.

My understanding is that when Patrick started, Arnie was first team coach?

FP, I think Mug's not happy with the level of 'hate'.

Lighting fires, (TW & MC)
then spraying petrol (posting vomit)
hopes the masses will revolt.

Good luck
with that Mug. ;)

Think I'll leave you, FC Mariner, Wombat and all the other bedwetters to it, you guys are absolutely delusional about what is going on at the club at the moment

If you want a sensible conversation, don't call people bedwetters. You sound like a child.

Good point :) Good thing I don't follow someone like the Smurfs... Obviously can't even stay on top of our total of four, how would I even know who was the current coach?... Would probably need some sort of post-it note system ;)

Anyway, core point remains the same - then we were told that Arnie was head coach and Patrick had to coach to the style basically... I remember the essentials ;)

More or less yep - but as has been intimated by others PZ wasn't what you'd call innocent in it.

You've failed to address any post that deals with your gripes in detail, i.e. anything that provides sound logic and reasoning for the current situation the club finds itself in.

Instead you've just called anybody who took the time to agree with you a bedwetter, despite bordering on Facebook comments section-level hysterics.

Come back with reasonable points instead of having each post claim the sky is falling and we can have a meaningful debate on this...

You have no idea of how long I have been supporting the Mariners you peanut, I have been going to games since Season 1

I didn't say you were a Newbie.
I said your posts were 50% correct and 50% shite....and the shite ones were like a Newbie would spout.
Great to hear you have been a great supporter this far.
A protest would be worthless ATM IMHO.
Your comments are as valid as anyone else's and I've agreed with some of what u have to say.
This forum has a real mix of posters.....welcome to the mix.

i remember that myself. shame how that unfolded but once again we don't know what happened in behind the scenes. love for the waters to eventually be cleared and he makes a return - he's still good mates playing alongside Hutch for Terrigal

Looked fit as a fiddle at Erina fair last week.

I think Rowdy's right about you Mug.

But don't start feeling too self important mate, you're not the first self determined football Nostradamus to rock up, talk our their ass, fail to make rational arguments and then call people names if they reasonably argue your points.

Have heard "you're all delusional" sky is falling or some variant plenty of times over the years on here, often purporting knowledge which they can't evidence, and you know what, so far the doomsayers have NEVER been right.

I like arguing opposing points, genuinely happy even to change my mind when others make better sense, but if all you want to do is come on here and sling insults and at best offer simplistic blanket opinions, then seriously just f**k off to twitter. You're just wasting peoples time and probably should be banned.

And when we're back on track - which we will be sooner or later Mug - I hope you remember how your hysteria had ZERO impact on making that happen. You've marginalised yourself, because you won't listen, you're aggressive and you're not rational, so the club and any reasonable fan has no choice but to ignore people like you. The only people you'll get traction with, are bitter people like yourself. Have fun with that won't you mate. o_O

PZ came in under Arnie and I think that it was to be a longer process. His NYL team was a couple of years younger than the most of the teams (except the AIS). As others have said we don't know the full story but I would love to have him back in some capacity

I think we will get 8,500+ to the scum game.
Talk of a protest is stupid.

Nowhere close on a perfect day and they'll be lucky to get 5,000 is they treat us like mugs again.

The thing I find so mind-numbingly stupid is how people on here somehow seem to think the financial strategy this year was smart or good business. It is DUMB DUMB DUMB - whatever cost savings they have made to the squad have been well and truly soaked up by lower gates and the cost due to treating the fans with such disrespect is pretty hard to measure. It will take significant investment just to get support back to what they had three seasons ago, let alone when the club actually cared about its community
