Too old out of touch and out of condition, he won't have what it takes.

Nobody else wants him so we'll give him a go. hmmmm.

Will be over 100 soon.

Im a fan of Boz and have been hoping this rumour would form a solid base.

Don't let his age fool you, he has plenty skill and is definately fit enough to warrant a position in the HAL. Add to that the years of experience and things he could teach not just our keepers but the team as whole would be invaluable. Especially for those planning to take their football careers overseas.

Bosnich to join Mariners at Budgewoi this Friday

The Central Coast Mariners will welcome iconic Australian footballer Mark Bosnich to team training from tomorrow (Thursday, 17 July), as the legend Qantas Socceroo goalkeeper begins a two-week trial with the reigning Hyundai A-League Premiers.

"Mark has not signed a contract with the Mariners, but has been invited to train with us to further his aspirations to return to top-flight football, if not with the Mariners, then with another club in Australia or abroad," said Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman.

"By virtue of Marks vast and impressive professional experience, his very presence at training will be inspiration for our younger players ahead of the regular season and were delighted to offer one of the true trail blazers of Australian football the chance to experience the Mariners and the Hyundai A-League."

The Mariners will start their training session at Budgewoi's Frank Millington Field at 10am this Friday, followed by lunch at 12noon.

So bring the kids, grab a blanket for the hill and enjoy!

O Rly?  May i ask how many times you have watched him train in the last year to form the opinion that he is fit enough and still has the skill??  Just curious

I base my feelings on how (physically) fit he looked in recent interviews.

As to his skill level, I really don't have to say much about that do I?

the important thing is he looks physically fit in interviews. Can we sign him up ASAP? Goalkeeping is only a minor part of the job

I merely state that compared to how he appeared during his 'fall from grace' that he is now much healthier and fitter than before.  If he was used as a 'guest stint keeper' he would do us a fine job between the posts and I'd feel much more confident having him keep for 5 crucial games this season anyway.  But thats my opinion and going by your sarcastic remark you obviously disagree. such is life.

I keep reading he's training tomorrow at BT. Anybody know what time? Is the stadium open for the public to walk in?

Age has nothing to do with it when it comes to keeping....Peter Schmichael was 40 when he finished at Man City

Oliver Kahn - 39

Fact is if he is fit and sharp then at 36 I have no issue - in fact many goal keepers have played top flight into their 40's
