ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Arnie, you don't live here any more. Stay out of the pantry.

Mariners close to locking down Graham Arnold
CHAMPIONSHIP-winning coach Graham Arnold is in negotiations to extend his contract at Central Coast.
The Weekend Australian believes discussions are in an advanced stage with club owner Mike Charlesworth and chief executive Peter Turnbull for Arnold to stay on until the end of the 2015-16 season at the A-League club.
The former Socceroos coach will enter the last season of his four-year contract this season and there were strong suggestions he would head overseas to further his career.
He had been linked with moves to Sheffield United in England as well as clubs in Japan and China.
However, Arnold, who guided the Mariners to their first A-League title last season, is now very settled on the Central Coast and loves the lifestyle and working with the current playing group.
Along with Ange Postecoglou he is rated one of the best coaches in the country having taken the Mariners to a grand final loss in 2010-11, the premiers Plate in 2011-12 and the title last season.

The Don Revie of the Coast.
Arnie never deserted the Socceroos in the way Revie deserted England, and his footballing philosophy is less cynical and brutal (mind you, I'd have Bremner and Giles as my two holding midfielders).
They do share one thing - neither has been able to win the European Cup...

We would have won Euro Cup but for the most disgraceful and blatantly corrupt ref I've ever seen. I believe he never reffed another game after that.
You may well remember the Leeds fans didn't react very well!

I remember Lorimer's 'goal'
This was at the peak of corruption in the Italian game.

And Allan Clarkes blatant penalty....not given.

I was a primary school kid living in Folkestone at the time and remember my mate who lived near the docks telling me he could hear the Leeds fans creating havoc in the early hours of the morning not content with dismantling Paris after the game.
Even as a little kid I was fuming at the injustice.
Leeds fans would always sing.....We are the Champions....Champions of Europe! At every game after that for more 25 years after the final.

Sounded better in 80s when one side would sing (say bay 16) we are the champions. And the other side (say bay 15) would chant back champions of Europe. With a fist salute each chant....used to look and sound awesome.

Vinnie Jones was a big hard bastard. bremner was about 5.5ft or 5.6ft. Great little player but very hard and aggressive. He didn't mind punching on with bigger opponents.
