It's been shown that players will sell their souls to chase dollars. Beckham did it twice from his "heartland" of Man U.

...but to expect JA to stick around on less money is ridiculous. Despite all reports to the contrary, he has no connection to the area, and like any real pro sportsman, will go where the opportunities and CHING CHING are greater.

I can't wait to see his face when we beat them next season

I hope CCM thrash SYD FC next season and JA gets sent off for 2 dives

I also hope for this.

Leaving a club for your rivals......boo him.
now,
would u boo bridge?
Silly if u did as he scored the winner at the grand final, and has been a aset all season.

The real question is, does everyone truly rate him, or are they pissed off because he left..?

For all the hype and publicity he brought, the rewards were kinda slim.

i feel sydney might not be the great team that the money they are spending is suggesting. They will have 3 strikers on excessive amounts of money:Aloisi, Bridge and Brosque. This means their defense is gonna be lacklustre and they also released one of their playmakers Juninho and their other one isnt getting any younger, ie Corica. Therefore There service forward is gonna be shocking. Colostomy is the only defensive player that I rate and he is often outplayed. Sydney still have a lot of work to do to become a force to be reckoned with.

I see what you're saying, but if a team was actually built on money, the Mariners wouldn't have got as far as they did. It's the under-the-radar guys who make the difference i.e Jedinak, Clarky. If you can measure a defense on the amount you spend on it, then you might be right...but...

we will have colosimo and corica probally in midfield.
Our major fault of v3 was the lack of service.
I hope we sign some good backs and not 2nd rate ppl.
Time will tell

IMO Aloisi has scored some great goals due to his ability to know where to be and came intothe side when we needed him most. It was the same deal when we had Mori in V2. However, neither have any pace and rely on good service. This creates problems as we have seen all this season with Aloisi attracting a lot of defensive attention. This is OK if you have another great striker but I don't think that we have really been that fortunate. Petrovski has scored a couple of decent goals but IMO has mainly been lucky (he is crap on the ball and gives it away far too often); Simon couldn't hit the side of a barn with a shotgun (would make a better midfielder IMO); Mrdja would be good if he can stay on the pitch but I have some doubts.

That all being said, let Aloisi go (he's not worth the $1M price tag) and let's pick up a striker with some pace, ball skill and one who can score - I'll leave the candidate to Lawrie & co.

Question: Does Aloisi get booed by us at his return to BT?
I mean on the one hand his 7 goals were a great help to us winning the premiership...
but on the other hand-
he sold out for more money to one of our biggest rivals!
I want to boo him!

As far as I'm concerned the greedy, c*ntfaced sellout gets boo-ed every time he touches the ball.  Simple.

Brosque-Aloisi-Bridge....... man, what a whiny whinging front three.  Hope the ref has ear plugs.

I can,t believe that this even needs to be debated.

He used to play for us and now he plays for them.

That makes him a tosser and fair game

Any football savvy crowd anywhere else in the world would threaten to skin the c**t alive

Give it to him for 90 mins every time we play them

Money grabbing c**t

If he was the real deal he should have converted many half chances in this comp.

Let Sydney FC waste THEIR money on him.

I'm glad to hear he is going. I have trouble supporting a player who uses obscene language on missing a goal rather than accepting that that he should have performed better. (This is not a good role model for young players on the coast).

I guess its hard to know exactly what happened behind the scenes but if you look at how he reacted after the Major Semi and then the GF (walked straight of and acted like a 10 year old brat during the game) then perhaps the squad was effected. Remembering you had him and Gumps both not happy. Must have been a fun camp to be in.

I will have mixed feelings about JA going, fact is if we only offered him $750k and he was offered $1Mill + by Sydney then I think its an easy choice for him to make at this age. Fact is we would be a lot happier if he went to Japan for $2Mill or $3Mill than to Sydney. We would be able to take it, but for $250k we will struggle with accepting this...

How much did he spend on his new Holiday shack at Terrigal?

When he returns to BT if he tries to acknowledge Bay 16, everyone should turn and face the other way, backs to him.

I am extremely disappointed by this. It shows JA has gone with the money which really does he need too? He had had a successful overseas career sure football players do have a self life but to stay with a great club like the Mariners for $750k a season would of be worth it.

Sure if JA went back overseas i would of been alot easier on this but given he is going to stay in the A League i am extremely disappointed. Wht happened to JA wanting to play in Asia he had that opportunity with the Mariners in 09 but once again a player has gone to a club we all hate the A Leagues version of Collingwood or Manly.

I will not boo JA per say but of course i will be booing Breeze FC in V4.

JA Sydney really what have we done wrong in your time you have been with us????

My kind of supporter. He is now fair game for abuse, boo's and banners.

That is more effective and respectful than booing as he had a massive influence on ccm season.
Just a bad way to leave.

All about the money really.

Too bad he doesn't wanna stick around in a great team, with a great coach...

*shurg* If he wants to leave somewhere cause of a bigger paycheck, then so be it.
