it was a low act and saying he went there to play in big crows like the galaxy game was a joke, sydney had poor crowds all year except for that game. Any way might we be better off? HE said before the grand final in the papers he was going to take all chances, he missed a sitter didnt he.Dylan MacAllister will get a chance with sasho, nik we will go well.

top bloke

I much as i hate to say it, ccm will be better off without Aloi$i then with him.

Depends who else we get in to replace him.

I read somewhre lyall had said that we weren't going to spend lots of money anymore on one player.
that would be a good call.. and to let young guys have a crack at the big time like mcandrew and more of porter would be good.

Aloi$i has good style of playing football.. but he's not worth large amounts of money.

So...
What about his physical presence?
Experience & motivation?
Holding up the ball?
Constantly drawing two defenders?
Making big efforts for headers and being rather effective from them?

Oh I get it, because he can't dribble like Ronaldinho he's useless... just like any other target man/out and out striker.

Thought he dribbled pretty well in his goal V Japan at the World Cup

I wouldnt say dribbled very well...it wasa
1) a tad of poor defending
2) i dunno wat to call it- feinting??? (japan defender couldnt tell when he was gonna touch ball?)
Par of the shot process IMO (which was pretty cool all the same)

posted on Sydney FC's website yesterday.....
"Aloisi ruled out for 8 10 Months.
Tuesday, 1 April 2008

Sydney FCs title aspirations for Version 4 of the Hyundai A-League suffered a massive blow yesterday morning when star off-season recruit and marquee signing John Aloisi suffered a major injury in a training ground mishap.

The Qantas Socceroo striker collided heavily with team mate Ian Fyfe during a pre-season training game, the collision knocking Aloisi to the ground, where he fell awkwardly on his left leg.

Aloisi was immediately rushed to a specialist, where scans confirmed posterior cruciate ligament damage that is expected the keep the star striker on the sideline for at least 8 - 10 months.

I just heard a strange pop sound, and felt it instantly. A dejected Aloisi said yesterday afternoon.

Fyfie (Ian Fyfe) kind of knocked me off balance and I went down, but my leg didnt twist the right way.

Sydney FC coach John Kosmina was equally disappointed.

Obviously its a bad way to start the pre-season, but theres nothing much you can do. Its just one of those things, thats football, so really, all you can do is get on with it. If the rehab goes well he might only miss the first half of the season

Aloisi, who is most well known for the penalty kick that sent Australia to the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 32 years, is expected to start rehab immediately"

how does that make ya feel ?  :piralaugh:

Just went to SFC site, nothing on there now about it. Considering the date, I tend to agree with Ursus... April fool!

Wouldnt have even started training yet?

Good joke.

well....this is a typical quote from their website on the April Fools joke about Aloisi being injured.....

"I dislike you (being the thread poster)

Funnily enough I also dislike aloisi more now. Even though its a joke the fact its so believable tells you something"......

it seems that they are worried at his fitness and whether he was a mistake.....yippee!!!!!!  :pirashoot:
