ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

i'm actually kind of expecting a big marquee to play for the coast next season because IF johnny was to be paid a 1/3 of what sydney is paying, thats almost enough to fit him under the cap

Lawrie's was talking today of not being sure they'll even sign a marquee fro next season today.
God I love Lawrie. (Except at sixty minutes when he won't make a change till seventy ;D)

Oh yeah, gotta love him. (except for the inflexible 4.4.2) :p
I'm all for no marquee if we recruit well in the offseason, a few good young guns and a reliable utility with experience would do me well.
I don't want another out and out striker, I'm confident with the offseason and with someone feeding balls through that Matty can score.

Seriously? You don't want another striker, that means a fully fit Mrdja & Petrovski, with Simon still as back up, no we NEED another striker! Simon was getting good service this season and missing sitters. I'm not saying sack Simon at all but I am saying we need someone else, the odds of both Mrdja being fit & Matty Simon hitting the standard are pretty slim!

Yeah, I guess that's true actually.
Hopefully Matty can have the offseason and pre-season to refine his finishing.

I'd love someone like Thompson, instead of another target man/out and out striker.
Eh, just my opinion.

Thompson is overrated IMO, he's SO hot and cold, good season last year but he wasn't very good this year. We need a stirker, three, with one inexperienced & one who never wants to play is not enough.

I didn't mean "lets get Thompson"! I mean someone with his speed and vision, his close ball control (when he is in form) Thompson can bust defenses wide open and also slot back into an attacking midfield role.

Annyyywaaayyy..

lets be honest, the side sydney are assembling looks likely to push them a little further than this season although I am not sure if they have released him but if Zdrillic gets game time theyll falter lol

They're actually having a great season. Made the JWC Final and are off to a good start in the NSWPL, the home advantage of having an artificial pitch might help a little.

BrisRecky

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
I was talkin to rubbernose the other night and he reckons if what happened to my foot happen to Zdrilic he would be a better player  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Lawrie and Peter Turnbull didnt seem overly worried this evening and Lawrie said we may not even have a marquee next year if their planned signings happen.

Been away all week and havent read all the posts in this thread. Like many am pissed off with Aloisi for leaving us so soon, especially with Asia to play in next year. The saddest thing about this will be all the devastated little kids who have his name on the back of their Mariners shirts. Maybe we should organise to collect them all and post them to the money greedy prick. That he has gone to Sydney makes it even harder to accept. I still hate Sydney more than the Jets, even more so now. I wouldnt normally wish injury on a player but it would serve him and Sydney right if he did his knee in in round 1.

Aloisi should prepare himself for being given a very hard time by Mariners supporters next year.

If we play Lowy FC in round 1 (as seems usual), we will give the greedy turd heaps until that knee goes and $1.4m of Uncle Franks money goes down the shitter.

Cant f**king wait.
