$1.4mil doesnt buy too much loyalty these days does it???

The money grubbing turd has let Lowy FC know exactly the kind of person he is in todays article in 442.

"EXCLUSIVE: John Aloisi is unsure whether his move to Sydney FC will be the one that marks the final chapter in his domestic football career.

He told au.fourfourtwo.com: I dont know whether this does prove to be the last move. Its hard to say as anything can happen in football."

Nice for the Lowy FC plans to know that if he gets a half decent offer he is likely to shit on them the same as us (he can buy his contract out if he chooses too)

such a shame really, he seemed a decent guy but does he honestly think we're all stupid enough to buy the whole "i want to be part of big games and big crowds its not the money arguement"?

seriously, SFC's crowds are shite, of course its the money... the funny thing is the cove all chanted "youve got the wrong aloisi" and "what a waste of money" to us, now they end up having him lol

So its one and a half times what we paid him then. One and a half times a lot of money is a f**cking lot of money.

For almost three times what we paid him nonetheless. LOLZ
we only got him for half the season

True, except his is also a 2 year contract. So when you lock in "job-security" well.. it's more money effectively.
1.5 times more when you're talking in the hundreds of thousands to millions is a LOT!

And if you ask me, he was never worth the 1/2m we paid for him, so I'm cool, they can keep him.

i'm actually kind of expecting a big marquee to play for the coast next season because IF johnny was to be paid a 1/3 of what sydney is paying, thats almost enough to fit him under the cap

I think that figure was a load of crap in a sydney paper, 'cause going off what Lyall said in a local paper today, I think our offer was around 1mill.

Lyall was quoted in one of the papers as saying they made an offer to make him the highest paid player in the A-League so far. (They said 'the history of the A-League'...but whats what? A whole 3 years...lol)

Lawrie was talking today of not being sure they'll even sign a marquee fro next season today.
God I love Lawrie. (Except at sixty minutes when he won't make a change till seventy ;D)

Haha yeah, but at 1.4M it's still highest in the league, I'm not sure who the 2nd highest is, but sureley there's gotta be a bit of room between them.

Oh yeah, gotta love him. (except for the inflexible 4.4.2) :p
I'm all for no marquee if we recruit well in the offseason, a few good young guns and a reliable utility with experience would do me well.
I don't want another out and out striker, I'm confident with the offseason and with someone feeding balls through that Matty can score.

yeah i rekon matty is gonna come into his own this season, just needs to start a few games in a row. Also i think they said aloisi is the highest paid aus based player in any code, not just the league.

I just can't wait...
"What a waste of money!"

Matty needs to work on his technique a bit and his confidence, but his general play is coming in leaps and bounds.
I'm sure Lawrie and the boys will set it all right in the off and pre-seasons.

I've got confidence in hi,

Matty might be a good target man in a 433 formation.

He does have a good 1st touch and is a good header of the ball.

Need some more forwards though

You have to take Lawries comments and think the exact opposite. Obviously he is saying that we are about to sign a big marquee.

Lawrie was talking today of not being sure they'll even sign a marquee fro next season today.

Aim higher.

Little tip for everyone, DONT BELIEVE THE PRESS. They get it right about 2% of the time, and they make shit up to sound good.

Oh how sweet it will be when Johnny is injured in round 1 and misses the season, to bad, so sad, bye bye.

Seriously? You don't want another striker, that means a fully fit Mrdja & Petrovski, with Simon still as back up, no we NEED another striker! Simon was getting good service this season and missing sitters. I'm not saying sack Simon at all but I am saying we need someone else, the odds of both Mrdja being fit & Matty Simon hitting the standard are pretty slim!
