Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Couldn't have imagined I could feel any prouder of this club. Mind blowing to win the GF two days ago then fly to korea and do that. Danny is an absolute MONSTER. Sign him NOW please Mr Charlesworth. Sainsbury should be a socceroo sooner much rather than later Holger. Anderson too for that matter.

Brilliant coaching too. Weemac to come at them late. It was almost gauranteed to change the game. Followed by experience to anchor at the critical time. Please please stay Arnie. But if you must go, Asia better offer you the money you deserve mate.

TB, love your ideas about fliers etc to help get people to the game. I have several businesses I could help distribute them through. Just thinking out loud, but maybe something along the lines of:

Next wednesday night, the Mariners can make history again. But they need your support as they take on the might of Japan. So grab your yellow. Grab the kids. And get to the ground. It's your club, your coast, your champions!

Oh and wanted to mention, PP, I read the thread where you guys were discussing the mega. I did notice at the GF that the Mega was struggling to be heard. Which is a bloody travesty with the work you put in. Be very happy to throw in for one if the crew on here were inclined to do a bit of a whip around.

Heroic !! Only GA and his boys can come up with a performace like yesterday's after playing a GF on Sunday (unforgettable), jump on a plane the following morning, fly for 14hrs, arrive in Suwon @10:30pm, 8hrs sleep max, no previous training, travel to the world cup stadium and achieve a gutsy win against the 2nd placed team in the K-League.Only a champion team is capable of this !!
The least we can do as fans is to fill up BT next Tuesday and give our champions the support and the tribute they deserve. Thanks CCM for so many happy and emotional moments.

The Gutsiest Win

This was a gutsy win; the gutsiest. No team should ever have to celebrate their Championship by fronting up two days later at a soulless stadium in South Korea. But led by captain for the day, birthday boy Daniel McBreen, they rode out the Suwon assault and took the three points.
From the first few seconds when McBreen was cynically scythed down to the last few seconds when he felt the imprint of Suwon studs on his foot McBreen set the tone for bravery and character and sheer determination to win.
In wet slippery conditions Suwon dominated possession and territory in the first half with the besieged Mariners digging deep to hold them at bay. They struggled, often, to get out of their own half but the team work, the desire to help each, the composure of the players meant they occasionally buckled but never broke. The whole team played measured football, the ball on the ground, no panic, calmly picking out team mates and supporting each other. The powerful Anderson and the calm assassin Sainsbury intelligently presented the formidable barrier on which Suwon foundered. A feeble header at the far post and a left foot volley cleanly taken left Mat Ryan largely untroubled.
Constantly playing the team out of trouble with precise passing Ollie Bozanic backed up wonderfully from the Grand Final and the feisty Nick Fitzgerald gave a more than passing imitation of Michael McGlinchey with his confident skills and willingness to beat people. 0-0 at half-time.
Suwon were quickly out of the blocks in the second half but the Mariners restricted them to half chances and shots from distance. Gradually the Mariners were building forward momentum, Rose and Bojic beginning to provide threat going forward. In a classic Mariners’ counter attack Rose was suddenly in acres of space on the left, his cross spilled by the keeper just far enough away from the onrushing McBreen who impolitely rapped the keeper on the knuckles.
McGlinchey came on for the tiring Fitzgerald and immediately had Suwon confused and back-pedalling. Bozanic, surrounded by defenders, somehow had the vision and skill to pick the wee maestro out on the left and he raced through to force the ball past the keeper with ten minutes to go. History was baout to be made!
Sterjovski replaced the hard working Duke, Zwaanswijk came on as Bozanic limped off. Suwon huffed and puffed but at the end it was the Mariners still going forward with that man McBreen firing a shot over the bar from distance.
This was an historic win, the first away in Asia, and sets up next week’s home game against Kashiwa Reysol; it will be another great night at Bluetongue!
Anderson, Sainsbury, Bozanic and Fitzgerald were my best on the night with Ollie getting MoM for that killer pass under pressure.
And thank you Daniel McBreen for not only celebrating your birthday with this win but also celebrating my birthday too!

Agree that Anderson was an absolute colossus in this game.

Our passing was well below our best for the most part, but how Arnie could get the boys to play better at the end of the game than at the beginning is nothing short of amazing. Considering what they've been through, I thought they would dead by then.

Massive effort.

Agree with all you guys. The Mariners carried the Australian flag on the back of their shirt last night.
Sooner rather than later some of these guys will have the Aussie emblem on the front of their shirt.
An amazing performance, running on empty they still gave quality & effort that has surpassed any other group that has worn the Mariners colours. Once again Congratulations to all concerned. Forgive me if I pinch one of your taglines guys. <ARNIE LEGEND>

bugger all sleep, jet lagged, pissing down rain, freezin fkn cold...YET...the boys, probably, still jacked from Sunday, stood up and carried their own and Arnies legacy one step higher....all the boys had a dig BUT even after running 90 miles on Sunday, Wee Mickey had the cojones to shred the bluewings

and on a side note, if that Brendan Speed from FUX Sports mentioned one more time that Arnie is offski I was gonna say various curse words...thankfully Slater was making some sense

On the mega, willing to throw in a 50 with six others. Or a twenty with 16 others. On the road now. Late finish. But will start a thread tonight. Unless Someon else has the time and inclination beforehand.

The 3 or 4 blokes that organise the Yellow Army have been superb this season and I am willing to put $50 in as well for a new mega.
How do I get the money to ya.

Hey Wombat, awesome. I've started a thread.

Thinking we start with $20 pledges, and those inclined like you or I can up to fifty if we don't get over the line.

Re the how of it, once we have the pledge amount, I'll organise a drop off locale, and for any out of towners, worse case they can just post it.

Best
