Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Rostyn Griffiths to Fury

Mick any idea why we did not sign him

no, but i guess he was too surplus for our midfield and could not add anything more

with gary wales currently trialling with us i am also guessing it may be a little swap between fergie and lawrie as a striker was surplus to their requirements

They look to have got the better part of the deal... I remember the Auckland Kingz signing a lot of players like we are ... But mine is not to question why ... just have faith LM knows what he is doing..

Faith in LM is one thing, but the money men ?,he can't spend what they won't give him.  Do you think LM's line of 'unless their better than what we have, CCM don't want them. Thats surely to protect the current players which is LM doing what any good manager would do.  I know CCM are a business and with new developments COE etc, are heading in the right direction off the field, but on it, far from it at this stage.

Bosnich to Newcastle Jets.

You heard it here first.

I thought that would be a major possibility when Covic left, he's no where near his best, will probably have injury issues throughout the year and would want a decent salary, we can look forward to abusing him if he does go :)

Will be interesting to see if Branko uses him first choice or as a back up to Kennedy if he stuffs up big time or gets injured.

Like to see this happen, but wondering how many games he will play, seems to be a problem with his hamstring, see link.

I went to that match, he looked good warming up, was very professional  and thorough.

Mariner Mick is Matthew Lewis still with the Mariners?, he looked quite impressive in this match, managed to beat his marker a few times and get good crosses in.

Adam Kwasnick seemed to be playing as an attacking central midfielder, took the wrong option once when he had three players unmarked outside him.

Is his contract continuing as well? Also noticed Alex Tobin at the match.

FORMER Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler insists his move to Australia was not for a "holiday'" as his latest injury threatens to rule him out of North Queensland Fury's A-League opener next month.
Fowler signed a two-year deal with the Australian side in February but has yet to take part in a full training session.

His injuries were initially only expected to sideline the 34-year-old for one to two weeks but they have continued to cause problems, threatening his involvement in the first game of the season against Sydney FC on August 8.

Fowler is expected to join his new team-mates in full training next week and the well-travelled forward insists he is eager to get playing as soon as possible.

"I'm not here for a holiday," he told the Townsville Bulletin.

"I have come here and I want to enjoy my football and I want to play as much as anyone, but certain things dictate that sometimes you can't play.

"I'm prepared to work hard and get on that pitch, I'm not just here to enjoy the sun, it's pride in myself."

smh is reporting that Chris Coyne is expected to be announced today as a Glory signing.

Yeah i also read this. Also found it on the world game site.

This is another huge signing for the Glory. Might be tempted for an away trip to Perth this season.

Don't forget they have Jacob Burns as well. On paper they have a very solid squad and should easily make the finals with the players they have. Exciting times for Glory supporters. Good on them.

If they do sign him, how the hell did they fit all those guys under the cap? Thats some very crafty accounting if you ask me!
