We won't be signing the Elrich brothers
I heard that Adelaide are very close to signing the too....sigh!
We still need a bit of pace up front as well as a creative midfielder and a winger who takes on players successfully (sorry kwasnik). Not to mention a right back!
Shopping List
New pacy striker to partner Sasho (of brosque/thompson/burns mould)
Creative midfielder (although hutch and jedinak would do)(not top priority)
Exciting Winger (of Kruse/Fernandez mould)
Right back (some1 who can attack a bit)
Question...i heard Owens can play right back as well...is he any good?

Kwassie turned dozens of defenders this year. He also scored 6 goals. Who are we seriously going to bring in there who will score more and back themselves to beat players?

There is no room in the centre of the park unless gumps leaves as it seems. But they will play second fiddle to hutch and jedi i would say.

Ozzy is great at right back, but some cover would be nice.

On another note, looks like Dukes wants to leave NU.
He is pushing on in age. Would be a good time for him to return to melbourne, though i dont think he will.

Dukes and Thompson would be hard to beat.

someone put that on 442
saying dukes to melbourne
and thompson out O/S
442 said the guy that posted
it said he was dreaming.

i know 442 rumors arent accurate but thought id give you the new rumors.

Rukavytsya to Melbourne
Nikita Rukavytsya is a major target of Melbourne victory's Geoff Lord, it is rumoured that Perth are willing to make a trade deal for Melbourne's danny allsop.

Fyfe wants to go home
Word from Sydney FC is that Ian Fyfe is reluctant to sign another deal as it is a lesser offer and he is said to be wanting to return back to Adelaide, where he has family issues to attend.

Its unsure wether fyfe or elrich will be picked up for the reds?

NORTHERN THUNDER......Will not be in A-League 08/9
Northern Thunder will not meet the FFA criteria. Major shareholder Melissa Fischer is not prepared to raise the capital required by the FFA. Apparently her advisors got it wrong and looking for excuses.

Sydney making a training ground
Sydney officials have met with Rockdale council to discuss with them about proposals to built a training ground down at Barton Park and St George stadium. Sydney are looking to built two full sized training fields, a 50m pool indoor pool, gym, and a small ground that can hold up 5000 spectators with 3000 seats for the reserve team and could possibly be used be the senior squad for pre-season matches and against state league teams. Sydney are estimating that the project could cost around 10 million and wont be decided till Mid April this year.

Thieves. They take our marquee and then our idea for a training complex.
I guess we stole their highest goal scorer, Ceccoli, Turnbull and won Aloisi over last season.

If Northern Thunder are out... who will replace them if anyone? What will happen to Galaxy?

Much like the pop group Hanson, Danny Allsopp was a one hit wonder. Glory are getting ripped off in that trade. That is like trader your grandfather marble for some old, worn-out piece of crap.

If Northern Thunder don't make the cut, Galaxy would still be in next year and we'd have a nine team comp with one team to have a bye each week.

Dont forget, scum pay far less than other clubs (and they dont even get that on time allegedly) so it wouldnt be too hard to get them to leave.

Durante, Bridge, Musialik so far.............more to go apparently.

And Rustyertitsoff for Allsopp...............ahahahahahahahahaha

PAARTALU LINED UP BY GLORY
Gretna's Australian midfield man Eric Paartalu has been lined up for a trial with Perth Glory. Glory coach Dave Mitchell worked closely with Eric in Sydney before his move abroad to Scotland.

BOLTON TO GALAXY
The word out from the Sydney FC dressing rooms are that Clint Bolton has put pen to paper with Miron Bleiberg's Gold Coast Galaxy. This is a major loss for Sydney which will have to recruit a keeper soon. Galaxy put in a much better offer than Sydney and he was lured to the new club

It was suggested way back before season 1 that sydney would be building that stuff, as well as a 15,000 seater to be named after Warren. That all seemed to fall through, may have had something to do with them deciding to play at sfs.

Surely monkey boy would have got a better offer from melbourne or us than bling.
