ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Where does the "points ranking" come from?

According to:
http://www.the-afc.com/afc-champions-league-2014/afc-champions-league-2015-draw
AFC Champions League 2015: Play-off schedule (East)

we are in the Play Off Stage not the Preliminary Stage. My question still stands, how and why did we get put straight into the Play Off Stage? Points? What Points?
(Sorry, I am very confused here. o_O )

The AFC has a points ranking system to determine how many direct entry and playoff slots each nation receives for the ACL - this system is based on our performance in AFC competitions over the last 4 years, and the 2015 & 2016 competitions are based on our rank for this year (which was determined in November).

As we're ranked in the top 4 in the East Zone, we enter the playoffs in the final round.

Thanks rbs, I'll have a long think about it and no doubt at some stage today, after some reading on the AFC website etc. the penny will drop.

And another thing, not being able to see the TV coverage, do they actually show the YA in Bay 16. The away support naturally will get featured as they are on the TV "hot" side of the stadium.

Warriors FC from Singapore are through to the second preliminary round of the play-offs after defeating Yadanarbon of Myanmar 6-5 in a penalty shootout (1-1 a.e.t.) last night.

They face Guangzhou R&F next Tuesday, with the winner of that game coming to Gosford on the 17th.

Any word on front of shirt sponsor and when/if kits will be sold? I'm guessing we're hanging on until we qualify...

There was a preorder for the jerseys back in December. The club said that the sponsor would be announced just before the jerseys shipped, which should be any day now...
