Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Clearly see it on this kit - 2012
From what I've seen from the others the logo has mostly been on white with the text both Navy.

That's because it's on an embroidered white patch. On these new ACL kits the logo is sublimated into the jersey fabric. Rest assured the Central Coast wording is there, and is in white. Obviously it is smaller (and always has been) than the Mariners part - and therefore harder to see on a low resolution image.

Thanks Timmah, the higher res. shows it up clearly. But the conspiracy theorists will probably say that it may be photoshopped and it's just on the white kit for show and there's no pictures showing the others have it and that's still a pointer to "de-coastification" and ... ;)

I think that's going a bit far mate. Only the die hard "haters" would actually think this. :)

Actually the back detail is very good.
"and features unique detailing on the upper back – four palm trees to signify the club’s home and history. Moreover, the writing “AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015” has been added to chronicle the Club’s proud involvement in Asia’s top team tournament."

As long as it's not something horrible like bargain puppy mulch or something, and I'm not sure anything can be as bad as FC Nuernberg's shirt sponsor of a few years' back:

So we have a playoff schedule as follows:

Central Coast Mariners - 2015 AFC Champions League

Playoff 1.3: Yadanarbon (Myanmar) vs. Warriors FC (Singapore) – 4 February
Playoff 2.3: Guangzhou R&F (China) vs. Winner Playoff 1.3 – 10 February
Playoff 3.3: Central Coast Mariners FC (Australia) vs. Winner Playoff 2.3 – 17 February
*Winner of Playoff 3.3 enters 2014 AFC Champions League Group F

I have a question: why are we at Playoff 3.3 ? Say Warriors FC win Playoff 1.3 and then in Playoff 2.3 beat Guangzhou R&F (China), they then have to play their 3rd. sudden death playoff against CCM in Playoff 3.3. What stopped us being in Playoff 1.3 ? Was there a lucky dip draw? Or is there some other logic at play? I need to know.

Oh, and as well, who decides the venue for Playoff 3.3 ?

The rounds are ordered by the same points ranking that determines the number of slots we get:
Round 3: South Korea + Japan + Australia + China's first playoff slot
Round 2: China's second playoff slot + 2 x Thailand + Vietnam + Indonesia + Hong Kong
Round 1: Myanmar + Malaysia + India + Singapore

Oh, and as well, who decides the venue for Playoff 3.3 ?

We host as we're the higher-ranked team.

Where does the "points ranking" come from?

According to:
http://www.the-afc.com/afc-champions-league-2014/afc-champions-league-2015-draw
AFC Champions League 2015: Play-off schedule (East)

we are in the Play Off Stage not the Preliminary Stage. My question still stands, how and why did we get put straight into the Play Off Stage? Points? What Points?
(Sorry, I am very confused here. o_O )
